We do however have on-site caretakers who are available to assist you. The CBD of Colombo is 9 km from Angam Villa, the U.S. Embassy 8 km and Arcade Independence Square 5 km away. There are many shops, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance to the Villa. Kotte is also the Administrative Capital of Sri Lanka and the site of the ancient ‘Kotte Kingdom’, which flourished during the 15th Century and still bears witness to many archaeological sites. Many of these sites are within walking distance to Angam Villa with the Archaeological Museum of Kotte only 300 meters on foot. Getting around in Colombo is cheap and convenient. Uber, 'Pick me' (the local ride sharing company) or tuk tuk's are plentiful and our caretaker will be happy to arrange a ride for you.
