You'll see it as home from home, with beauty & tranquillity to recharge or use as base to explore the area. The space The Luxury & Bridal Suite is located in the front of the main house, as part of a private, separate wing. Its own private entrance is through French doors which opens up onto a peaceful garden environment bordering on the Klippe River, with beautiful views of the Langeberg Mountains. It sleeps 2 people but can be booked together with the Guest Suite next door to it in the same wing, for a larger Group or Family. (Search Place of Sonlight Farmstay – Guest Suite) The spacious bedroom has a hand crafted, wooden queen size bed with canopy, and a cosy seating area for relaxing with something to read or enjoying a cuppa. Cupboards and a well-equipped kitchenette is situated behind the bedroom area as part of a walk-through to the bathrooms. The Suite is filled with all necessary practical amenities for a romantic or homely stay. A beautiful full length mirror with railway sleeper, hand crafted frame will make it easy to finish hair & make-up for any occasion. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, bar fridge/freezer, removable electric frying pan and other normal kitchen cutlery and crockery. A camping gas hob with kettle is available for loadshedding times. You will be supplied with homemade rusks, coffee, tea, sugar and fresh milk. If arranged beforehand, the fridge can also be stocked with breakfast supplies, at an extra fee – find more details below. The larger of the 2 bathrooms has a beautiful Victorian bath for long leisurely bubble baths as well as an old style marble top washing table with basin and toilet, to complete the picture. The smaller bathroom has a semi open shower, toilet & wash basin. All trimmings & fixtures have been done with detail in mind. A paved area surrounded by part of the garden, makes it easy to enjoy meals or a barbeque outside, right in front of the Suite. From here you can enjoy the beautiful view onto the paradise like gardens, pool and active bird life. You will be supplied with some firewood to get you started and extra wood is available at a fee. Guest access Parking is right in front of the Suite under large trees – NO STEPS but a slight ramp from the garden level to the Suite. You have access to the whole garden which also has rustic pallet wood furniture under the trees, at your disposal. You might share some areas with other guests, the family, animals (dogs and cats) or the workers, depending on the day of the week or time of day. The Pool area is close by and will also be shared with other guests. Other things to note No smoking; no children between 1 & 12 years and no pets, as we have our own dogs and cats, which might even visit you. An informal nursery with some of the indigenous trees growing on the property as well as a variety of succulents are available. The fridge can be stocked with breakfast supplies at an extra fee per person per day depending on which breakfast you want (even vegan as an option) – usually something like muesli, yogurt, fruit in season, ciabatta, rye or other homemade deli bread, jam, cheese etc. Preferences can be discussed and arranged with me beforehand.
