The house is in the heart of a charming little village surrounded by fields and forests. Pretty river, playground and picnic area, 16th century bridge, 11th century church and crypt. And 200 m away: the BURGUNDY CANAL. Great for cycling! WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE HERE? Imagine this house nestled between two gardens in the heart of an authentic small village... Imagine taking a walk along the lock canal, or in the forest, or between fields and river without ever taking the car... Take a trip to the grocery store or bakery in the neighboring village with your bike – brought or rented – by the Burgundy Canal while listening to the birds... Have a coffee or a glass of Burgundy wine with the village people at the bar restaurant opposite, Have lunch or take away a meal to enjoy in the garden... Improvise an aperitif by the river, near the swings... Rent a canoe for a delightful afternoon in complete serenity or go garage sale shopping... Go sightseeing to visit magnificent Renaissance castles, medieval cities, or world-famous abbeys through such harmonious landscapes... YOU WILL EXPERIENCE INCREDIBLY SIMPLE AND GOOD MOMENTS! DESCRIPTION: Our adjoining cottage is on the ground floor of the "Maison de Coeur". Inside, you'll find: - a 140 cm bed room with ensuite shower room/toilet, and washing machine + possibility of adding a 90 cm bed, slatted bed base, or a baby bed. - a kitchen (induction cooktop, freezer, conventional oven, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, NO microwave) - free access to the barn with garden furniture/barbecue, and to the two gardens of 200 m2 (courtyard side) and 300 m2 (the small orchard). - Heating by heat pump and storage heaters. On the "technology" side, it is a cottage with Wi-Fi and TV screen to connect to a computer (HDMI cable provided – PC or Mac adapter to bring). We offer this cottage when we may be absent, and sometimes also when we are present. In this case, we are then on the main floor of the house, and are careful to be discreet, while enjoying talking with you. > SHOPS - At the café restaurant in front of the house, fresh bread and pastries, grocery repairs, take-out dishes. - Supermarket in the nearby village of Ravières, 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bike along the canal. - Grocery and butcher deliveries to the village... TOURISM AND RECREATION Very nice aquatic center in Montbard (17 km) Numerous sites In our village, church bells can wake you up in the morning! The Angelus is at 7 a.m. in the morning... It can also be very much appreciated... or even not noticed, especially because of the 60 cm thick walls!! The cottage is the quietest place in the house. Everyone sleeps more soundly there than anywhere else... We prefer not to accept pets, even small ones. Thank you for your understanding. Guest access The cottage is located on the ground floor of "La maison de coeur". The two gardens and the barn are freely accessible, but it is requested not to play ball (to protect the bay window and the plants), and especially not to try to climb to the top of the barn. PARKING: outside the house enclosure, to protect the garden. Thank you for your understanding. Other things to note > "THE ORANGE GUIDE" In the cottage's photo guide: WIFI code, where to find what, practical addresses, delivery days for the grocer or butcher, pleasant walks, places to visit – known and lesser known, etc. > HOUSE LINENS TWO POSSIBILITIES: - Not provided - unless otherwise agreed. - Provided: €10 supplement per person for sheets, pillowcase and towel. 2 dish towels. Billed via Airbnb (without commission fees via the platform). > EQUIPMENT – SUPPLIES - PROVIDED: hairdryer, 1 roll of toilet paper, oil, vinegar and salt, garbage bags for sorting, dishwasher tablets, household products, sponges and cloths. - NOT PROVIDED: BBQ charcoal, washing machine detergent. Everything is included in the cottage guidebook! > HOUSE STORAGE AND CLEANING FEES - CLEANING IS PROVIDED BY US and is added to the cost of the stay. - OUR GUESTS ARE EXPECTED TO LEAVE THE COTTAGE IN GOOD ORDER A guide with photos is available so you don't have to worry about it! and the details will be indicated in a detailed email. In case of clearly insufficient storage, we should then do it for you; this may justify the request for an additional payment after the stay. The village is peaceful. Personally, I always leave my car in the town hall square, without locking it. HEATING We thank our guests for lowering the heat in the various rooms of the vacation rental and the bathroom if you leave the vacation rental for a few hours. NON-SMOKING BARN and GARDENS No ball games to protect the bay window and plants. Thank you! For your safety, it is forbidden to climb on the piles of stones and climb into the barn.
