Northern Lights Hut

The Aurora Borealis Cabin is situated alone on a hill, with a magnificent view of the lake, across the vast forests to the mountains. From there you can see fantastic sunrises over the lake in the morning and sunsets over the mountains in the evening. From there you have the best conditions to watch the Northern Lights. Relaxation and recreation in absolute tranquility are guaranteed. It's a wilderness hut, which means no running water/electricity. The hut is lit with candles. The space Cozy traditional Swedish cottage with magnificent views. It is an absolutely quiet piece of land. The cabin is surrounded by trees and a small stream runs up to the cabin. The fish-rich lake Skäggvattnet is only 1.3 km away, where there are plenty of large pikes, perches and whitefish. There is the rowboat of the Nordlichthütte in a small bay. There is no electricity and running water in the cabin, no bathroom, no gas /electric stove and no Wi-Fi. An outdoor toilet is located behind the cabin. A room with a shower and sink, washing machine and dryer, and sockets is located in the shed of the main house about 200 m away. A washing area with a stainless steel table for cleaning caught fish can also be found next to the shower room. Firewood can be obtained in the carport of the main house. Free Wi-Fi is available at the carport at the main house. In our cabin there is a cozy wood stove, an outdoor barbecue and a fireplace. Three cozy bunk beds 90 x 200 cm ensure a good night's sleep. Pillows and blankets are in the cabin. Please bring your own bed linen and sheets (bed linen and towels can be rented for SEK 200/person) A large wood-fired tree house sauna is located 100 m below the northern light hut on the edge of the forest. You are welcome to use it. From the sauna, you can observe the northern lights through the large glass doors. Just behind the sauna there is a swimming spot by the small stream where you can cool off after the sauna. In winter you park down at the main house, from there it is a 5 minute walk along a stream up to the cabin. In summer, it is possible to drive to the hut with a reasonably off-road car or you can park at the edge of the forest on the meadow and walk the last 100 m up to the hut. On the farm there is a vacant spacious kennel for up to 30 sled dogs. The kennel facility can be rented by arrangement for the accommodation of dogs. All this means that you will find peace and quiet and plenty of time for the beautiful things in life such as fishing, sauna, hiking, reading, picking berries and mushrooms or in winter experiencing life below zero, snowshoeing, experiencing the northern lights, barbecuing at the fireplace and doing all the things that make Lapland a great place for nature lovers from all over the world. This cottage is the perfect place for a maximum of 6 people who want to discover themselves in the same way and explore the Scandinavian wilderness. Other things to note Guests clean the cabin themselves on departure. Cleaning supplies are in the cabin. A cordless vacuum cleaner can be found in the shower room. Please bring your own bed linen. Bed linen and towels can also be rented for SEK 200 per person. Pets are allowed, but are not allowed on chairs, beds or blankets. (Dog droppings must be removed) Sockets for charging the mobile phone batteries are available in the shower room at the shed of the house Skäggvattnet. There is free Wi-Fi at the carport of the house Skäggvattnet. Behind the shed there is a washing area with running water for cleaning fish, which can be used. Next to it is the shower room, in which there is a shower and sink, washing machine and dryer and sockets for charging cell phones. This room may be used. Excellent fishing on the lake. A rowboat is available. Good places for mushrooms and berries on the property. Good opportunities for animal observation (moose, wood grouse, black grouse). The property borders state land in the mountains where you can buy hunting and fishing permits. This is several hundred thousand hectares of small game and fishing land.
