# HiChee

> HiChee is a vacation-rental price comparison tool. Travelers paste a link from Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking.com (or search by destination) and HiChee shows live quotes for the same property across every OTA that lists it, plus the direct-booking option when one exists — so the traveler can pick the cheapest route to the same stay.

HiChee aggregates listings across multiple online travel agencies (OTAs) — Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, and Whimstay — into a single canonical property. For each property it surfaces live nightly rates and full quotes (taxes + fees), calendar availability, host-direct contact info when available, photos, amenities, house rules, and reviews. Booking is never executed on HiChee; the user is redirected to the cheapest channel to complete the reservation.

The site is structured around three primary destinations:

- **SLV (Single Listing View)** at `/listings/:id` — the price-comparison page for one canonical property, aggregating every connected OTA listing.
- **BLV (Browse Listing View)** at `/vacation-rentals/...` — location-based browse pages that rank properties by HiChee's listing score; URLs follow `/vacation-rentals/:country/:state/:city`, with extra granularity for Hawaii (e.g., `/vacation-rentals/usa/hawaii/maui/north-shore/paia`).
- **Watchlists** at `/watchlists` — saved sets of properties that track price drops over time; sample/curated watchlists live at `/watchlists/samples`.

Beyond the website, HiChee offers a Chrome extension that overlays HiChee price comparisons directly on Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com property pages.
