Escape to our tranquil 600 sqft studio on a serene and private land. Enjoy breathtaking views of our 12-acre organic hobby fruit farm and nearby attractions like the beach, restaurants, and airport. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families seeking a cozy and peaceful retreat. Dear Guests, Because there is a housing shortage in Maui, to make your vacation plans a lot easier, reserve your vacation rental before you book your flight; air tickets are much easier to find than places to stay in Maui. Please note that we follow a fair pricing policy, which is frequently reviewed to match the current market conditions. Therefore, we do not provide any additional discounts as we aim to offer equally fair and competitive pricing to all our guests. Rates are subject to change until the reservation is confirmed. If this property is booked for the nights you are looking for, please try my other listings below: Airbnb 14127892 Airbnb 8370395 ABOUT US We are originally from Argentina and moved to Maui in the early '90s to chase our windsurfing dreams. Maui's consistent wave sailing conditions are second to none, making it an ideal destination for windsurfing enthusiasts like us. As an artist and nature lover, I find Maui to be incredibly inspiring, making it easy for me to create art. In 1993, my mother was fortunate enough to acquire this stunning property, and we have been blessed to call it home ever since. One of the best things about our vacation rentals is getting to meet people from all corners of the globe who come to experience the beauty of our unique land. I count myself incredibly lucky to live in this little slice of paradise, where I can enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature, while still being close to everything I could ever need, especially windsurfing. A little more about me: I believe in finding the best in people, and it inspires me to live a life of gratitude and contentment with less. As Aldo Leopold so eloquently put it in 1948, "When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect." WHY THIS PROPERTY Our property is a place where you can truly feel grounded and connected to both the earth and yourself. Simply being here, whether sleeping or standing, brings your senses back to life and helps you slow down and appreciate the beauty around you. It's the perfect spot to relax and reconnect with loved ones, family, and friends. Mana Aina is my happy place, where everyone can come together, enjoy nature, and even meet my friendly and sociable dog, Romeo. For those who prefer a manicured landscape where insects and birds are kept at bay, Maui's resorts on the South Shore may be a better fit. But if you're looking for a more authentic, peaceful, and spacious experience, Mana Aina is the place for you. Geographically, our property is located in the heart of Haiku, offering peace and privacy while still being conveniently close to all the fun, including great beaches, shopping, and restaurants. What makes this area truly unique is that it's all agricultural land, and the properties are large, allowing for plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the tranquility. Purchasing this property was made possible by my grandparents, whom I deeply love and respect for their accomplishments in life. Living here is a way for me to honor their memory and cherish the time we had together. I'm grateful to my mother for having the vision and courage to buy this wonderful land, and for giving me the opportunity to share this spot in paradise with thousands of wonderful guests from around the world. UNIQUE BENEFITS Our property is a unique blend of serene relaxation and thrilling adventure. Nestled away from the bustling tourist areas and city life, you'll discover a private oasis of your own. However, we're still in close proximity to all the excitement. Whether you're seeking a calm retreat to appreciate the natural surroundings or an action-packed outdoor adventure, our location offers both in abundance. Explore one of the nearby hiking trails, bask in the sunshine on a pristine Maui beach, savor a meal at a local restaurant, or indulge in a shopping spree at nearby stores. Whatever your desire, it's all within easy reach. ABOUT THE PROPERTY AND STUDIO Our private and clean 600sf studio nests in our quiet, peaceful land named Mana Aina which means the power of the earth in the Hawaiian language. Mana Aina sits on a privileged spot in beautiful Haiku, enjoying pure oxygen that comes from Hana wrapping around the national tropical forest that sits on the side of the Haleakala [dormant volcano]. The views from the studio go into and beyond our 12-acre matured park. Our studio is clean and well taken care of so you may enjoy a wonderful stay. The rental is made of bricks and painted stucco walls, tile floors, and high-beam ceilings. As soon as you open the sliding doors, you are standing in a 12-acre park covered by a lush landscape with ornamental trees, tropical plants, seasonal fruit trees, and flowers. We are pro wildlife and insects because our plants and trees need them, so there are big chances you will see geckos and other insects on our property. We do our best to keep them out of the studios, but you might see them. For a pristine and manicured landscape where insects and birds are fumigated, you might want to stay at one of Maui's resorts on the South Shore. To tell you a bit more about the property, on the ocean side of Mana Aina, there is a 50-acre forest. On the Eastside we have a big gulch with a seasonal water stream coming down from the Haleakala's rain forest which goes all the way down into the ocean where Jaws is located [one of the largest surfing/windsurfing waves in the world]. On the Haleakala side, we have another 50-acre property as quiet as ours. On the West Maui Mountains side, we have East Kuiaha Road, which is a very quiet road. ABOUT THE BUILDING We rent 3 studios, together or separately. The studios are in 1 dwelling and are separated from each other by a 10 feet wide hallway and do not share any walls [they are 10 feet apart]. The walls on each side of the hallways are made of thick large bricks filled with concrete and iron bars; these are not wood buildings. That's TWO 12-inch noise-proof walls to enhance privacy and noise control. Also, the hallways have their roof keeping the spaces [with their roof], apart from each other. Although it is a building with 3 studios connected by 2 hallways, they feel very private, and each is positioned at different angles to enhance privacy. Each unit has its entrance. BEDROOM The main bed is a calking size bed [medium softness], there is also a sofa/futon that may be turned into a full-size bed, a twin bed, and a queen bed. BATHROOM This is a private full bathroom with a bathtub and overhead shower, 1 toilet, 1 bidet, and 1 sink. We provide 1 clean set of towels per guest, 1 toilet paper roll, 1 small shampoo bottle, 1 small conditioner bottle, and 1 bar of soap. BEDS We have more than 1 studio at our property with different bed options. When more than 2 guests, please inquire about which would be the best option for you. BEDDING / TOWELS We provide 1 set of linens per bed, 1 set of bathroom towels & 1 set of beach towels per guest. DINING TABLE The dining table seats 4 people. KITCHEN We have a full kitchen including pots, pans, utensils, 4 electric burners & a full-size oven, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, blender, medium size fridge & beach cooler. DISHES AND UTENSILS Set of 4 dishes, utensils, water glasses & wine glasses. LAUNDRY Please keep in mind that the laundry room is open for you to use from 9 am until 7 pm. The laundry room is located to the side of the 3rd building's garage [3rd building from the gate on your left-hand side]. Please bring your laundry detergent. INTERNET / TV SpaceX Starlink with around 200 Mbps download speed + 18.8 Mbps upload speed. The studio has a smart TV. FOOD AND SUPPLIES Please bring your drinking water, food, and everything else you might need that is not listed as available on our amenities list and website. You are welcome to drink & cook with county water, but it has a chlorine taste. NO FRUIT PICKING No fruit picking from our property trees, please [we host about 600 guests yearly]. BEACH CHAIRS / BOOGIE BOARDS / BEACH TOYS FOR KIDS We may or may not have available beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach toys for kids. They will be in the laundry room if they are available, and you are most welcome to use them. Before checking out, please put them back in the laundry room. PARKING There is a free parking area where you may park up to 2 cars, but if you have a 3rd car, please let us know, and we'll let you know where you may park it. SHORT TERM STAYS We can only accept short booking requests when linking to existing bookings. Otherwise, I may create a few day gaps of 1 or 2 days in between bookings that are challenging or not possible to fill in. WASTE, NUISANCE & DISTURBANCE OF PEACE Mana Aina is very tranquil, so please help us keep it this way. If you decide to stay at our place, you are agreeing not to use or permit the use of our property for any unlawful purpose, not to disturb the peace of our neighbors or surrounding persons, nor to utilize or permit the use of the premises in such a manner as to constitute a disturbance of the peace or a nuisance. No loud music or parties are allowed. If you would like to host an event with family and friends, please let me know, and we can talk about it. Our property offers ample space for walking and jogging, so please feel free to take advantage of it. Families and kids are welcome to use our park, but we kindly ask that you keep noise levels to a minimum, as other guests may be enjoying their relaxation time. We encourage our guests to share the park while respecting each other's privacy and enjoyment of the space. Quiet hours are between 7 pm to 10 am inside & outside buildings. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we want you to have the most relaxing and enjoyable stay possible. As an artist and art rep, I specialize in abstract art, and if you're interested, please feel free to ask for my website as VRBO regulations prohibit sharing personal information here. My brothers, Francisco Goya and Lalo Goya, own Quatro Windsurfing, Goya Sails, and other windsurfing and surfing brands. Their research and development shop is only 5 minutes away in Haiku. If you need any gear, please let us know that you're staying with us, and we'll gladly assist you. Although our property offers seclusion and quietness, you can find great restaurants and grocery shopping just a 6-minute drive away. If you are into organic and healthy foods, the Mana Foods store in Paia is just 10 minutes away, and the Pauwela Cannery is perfect for casual breakfast or lunch. The Haiku Cannery has even more dining options, including Nuka Sushi and Colleen's Restaurant for burgers, pizza, and more. Vegout offers vegetarian options, and Maui Kombucha Bar is a must-visit. Don't forget to check out the Ahonui Plant-Based Cafe food truck on 111 Stable Road, Paia. If you're here during wave season, make sure to visit Jaws to witness some of the biggest rideable waves on the planet. For hikers and adventurers, the Makawao Forest offers a unique hiking experience, and Piiholo Ranch Zip Line is a must-try. Stop by Makawao Town for shopping and sandwiches at Casanova's, or head to Paia for a stroll on the beach and some shopping at Mana Foods. There are also several beautiful beaches nearby, such as Hookipa Beach Park, Tavares in Kuau Bay, Paia Bay, Baldwin Beach Park, Baby Beach, Spreckelsville & Kanaha Beach Park. If you're looking for streams and pools, Iao Valley is a must-visit spot, located above Old Wailuku. Finally, don't miss out on exploring the Haleakala volcano, Poli Poli, Kula, Twin Falls, and even some secret spots like Commando Hike. We hope you enjoy your stay in Maui and look forward to meeting you and discussing more great places to visit. There is public transportation through Hana Hwy to Haiku, but we highly recommend renting your own vehicle. We kindly request that guests be mindful that we do not offer replenishing services for our complimentary welcome supplies. Additionally, we've had issues with food smells in the past from cooking red meat, fish, chicken, etc. In such cases, we may need to transfer your security deposit to upcoming guests to compensate for any inconvenience caused. While we are okay with guests cooking meat in the studio, we appreciate your cooperation in avoiding any lingering smells.
