Easy to use Bose entertainment and stereo system. If you don't feel like cooking, the Pub (1min drive) offers meals, or get takeaway burgers from 'the Cafe' and sit on the beach. BlueBiYou restaurant or Vesey's Indian Restaurant are both 20 mins drive away and do takeaways which will impress anyone. Or bring your boat and launch 3 mins drive away at the Pukehina boat ramp, launch your boat to go out for a fish/wakeboard right out front of the house. Enjoy the local scenic bike route, tennis courts or BMX track, flying fox or choose from two local parks for the kids, less than 5 mins walk away along the beach. Car parking on site for up to 4 cars or more on the roadside. Robot vacuum and mop in main areas to keep things clean during your stay. Roller blinds in main areas and in main bedroom are all electric - controlled by remote. Sleeping arrangements: no port-a-cot available, please bring one if you need. Whilst the house is large and spacious, a maximum group size of 8 must be maintained for overnight guests due to being on a septic system. Getting here: We are 40 minutes from Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane all being tourist hot spots. Closest supermarket is in Te Puke about 15 minutes drive. Events: we understand this is a beautiful home and that it's expensive to get married etc these days so welcome small intimate weddings & ceremonies or events so long as the following conditions are strictly followed: 1. none of the furniture is moved (it's heavy, expensive and moving it damages the furniture and our beautiful cork floors). 2. The house can host small groups of up to and no more than 25 persons on the property at any one time, including photographers, caterers etc. 3. no more than 8 persons are staying overnight. 4. no stiletto high heels are worn on our cork floors 5. Our spa lid and fire hearth are not to be walked/stood/danced on for any reason. 6. event-level rubbish and recycling is to be removed from the property when you leave. our small residential rubbish bin can't be used for event-level rubbish. 7. event-level cleaning is taken care of by you before you leave 8. noise, music etc is respectful of our neighbours and off by 1030pm 9. fireworks when used are used safely, respect the neighbours and not used around the dry dune grass. 10. If there is any damage, let us know so we can claim insurance and get it fixed for the next people. We understand shit happens sometimes. Guest access Guests have access to the main house upstairs (3 bedrooms) plus the externally-accessed bedroom downstairs. The garage will not be accessible. One wardrobe in the main house will be locked. Other things to note If you are a light sleeper, and the sound of the sea would keep you awake, you may want to bring ear plugs or sleep in one of the back bedrooms. There is a resident cat, Max who hangs out in the garage downstairs (locked for guests) he will come and go as he pleases through his cat door and has his own self feeder in the garage. He is a loving, friendly cat and might come say hello. If you don't like cats, keep the upstairs cat door to the main house locked so he doesn’t come say hi. There are several security cameras operating at the property which can be accessed remotely by the owners. They are outside the main entrances to the property. There are no cameras inside
