Close enough, so you can take a quick bathroom and lunch break at your studio, then get back to the beach. Or, enjoy leisurely dining and tropical drinks on the breezy lanai. The studio unit has a double (full size) bed, and sleeps 2. This studio is small but efficient, very comfortable for 2. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, microwave, 2 burner stovetop, toaster oven, blender, sink and full sized refrigerator. Efficient bathroom with 1/2 size tub/shower. Plenty of towels, bedding and beach towels. Large mirrored closet. The breezy lanai gets morning sun and cool shady afternoons. Nice pleasant view of the palms and the pool next door while dining on the lanai. Internet, WiFi, and standard cable included. AC and ceiling fan keeps it comfortable. This apartment is for the sole use of the guest. The apartment is located in a 10 story building 1 block to the beach. The lobby is secured by key entrance. There is a small laundry at the building, but for more options, there is a very convenient self-service laundry around the corner on the next block with many machines, and they also have a drop off service. Prior to your arrival, we will arrange our time so that we can meet you at the building entrance when you get to Waikiki. We don't want you to be in the dark, hunting for keys among the multiple lockboxes. We will let you in and give you the keys. We live in Waikiki, so we are readily available for any questions or problems. We want to make check in and out a simple quick process for you. Hard to find a better value than this gem of a studio! For beach lovers especially, this unit is less than a minute to the sand. The location is ideal... Across from the Hyatt, but at a fraction of the cost. Right next to 2 surf shops and tasty restaurants. Or, you can take quick break from the beach and use your own kitchen and bathroom facilities, take a nap in the cool AC...Then head out again for more fun. The International Marketplace with many shopping and dining options is a short walk away. Nightlife options are just as close. Busy Kalakaua Ave with all its fashionable shops is the site of frequent parades and festivals, and again, you are one block away. Close enough, but just a bit more quiet. Friday night fireworks can be seen from the beach. This beach spot is extremely popular with surfers. Just a short walk along the beach is the Honolulu Zoo, the Waikiki Aquarium and Kapiolani Park. For history buffs, the Moana Surfrider Hotel has some great exhibits on the second floor. The Fort DeRussy Army Museum has fascinating stories to share, a great option for a rainy day or just to get out of the sun. Although the museum is just down the beach, you could take the bus. In fact, the bus system is much more convenient to use than dealing with parking in a city. Sometimes people do rent cars for a short time, and parking may be available in the lot adjacent to the building. We also have some parking spots, so inquire as to availability if you need one. There is a small charge for this. Also, for something special, an exotic car rental is across the street. Ever wanted to drive a Maserati? The public bus system is fantastic. In many instances, it is easier and cheaper to use The Bus rather than renting a car. But if you do rent a car, we may have parking available close by, in a secure garage, this is a reserved spot with in and out privileges. The charge is $20 daily, which is very reasonable for Waikiki. If you have a late flight out, we can store luggage for you after check- out. If you are arriving on an early flight, we may be able to accommodate an early check-in, but please ask ahead. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee this availability until 24 -48 hours prior to arrival. We are a legal short term rental and collect Hawaii state taxes, GET- 4.712% and TA - 10.25 %. The total price of the unit includes these taxes.
