Proud owners of this gorgeous condo and we own the one next door for couples traveling together. See Affordable Gem Honokowai/Lahaina/Location!! Unit 1. Each 1 Bedroom/1 Bath Paki Maui, Ideal (West side) location, lanai sits in tropical gardens, Koi pond, waterfalls, many additional amenities. Complex is on the ocean, next to the park and beach. Close to Kapalua, Lahaina, Kahana, restaurants, shopping and watersports. Plenty of free parking and taxes included in pricing. Aloha, and welcome to our new Paki Maui condo. We are delighted to share our little “peace” of paradise and hope that you will choose to stay in what we like to call, Nasher Hale. Paki Maui is a great oceanfront condominium complex in Honokowai, just northwest of Ka’anapali beach. The Paki Maui is a 4- story ocean front resort with great amenities and is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, Koi ponds, and waterfalls. Just steps from your door, is a large lawn area fronted by a beautiful sand beach and park where you can swim, snorkel, or sit in your chaise loungers and view the majestic islands of Molokai and Lanai with umbrella drink in hand. Paki Maui offers guests a heated pool, hot tub, and gas barbeque area where each evening people gather to take in yet another breathtaking sunset. Visiting November through March will afford you the thrill of whale watching up close. The calm Auau channel is home to a vast array of sea creatures: green sea turtles, tropical fish, dolphins, as well as, the majestic humpback whale who visits to breed each winter. This freshly remodeled unit is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath on the second floor where you are virtually sitting in a tropical garden with soothing waterfalls. The second floor allows doors to remain open so tropical breezes keep the unit cool, ceiling fans are also provided for additional comfort. This is our second home and are blessed to own two condos side by side. What a gift we have been given being condo owners in a tropical paradise like Maui. Thanks to our son and friends, we have new tile floors throughout, a kitchen with all you will need to prepare an island meal. It is very well equipped: stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, silverware, utensils, dishware, glassware, pots and pans, bake ware, and more. We have made a special effort to provide those little extras in the condo that will make your stay easier so you don't have to buy things like spices, zip locks, storage containers, spices, condiments, etc. The bathroom has a tub/shower, custom vanity, and is appointed with new towels and linens. The bedroom has a comfy king sized bed and 32” TV and open concept closet (which I think is very convenient). The living room has comfortable seating, desk, WiFi, telephone, a 65' TV and is way smarter than are. We take special care with each of our guests and are always available for questions or concerns. We know how important your vacation is and want to make sure you enjoy your time with us. I am a Superhost and am available when you need me!! Our Paki Maui condo is accessible 24 hours a day with key pad entrance. The code will be provide by email once the payment has been made in full. There will also be a code provided for Pool and Barbecue area. Check in time is anytime after 4pm. Check out time is 11am, housekeeping is set up well in advance so it is very difficult to alter that in any way. If you want to remain in the condo due to a late flight you will have to book the additional day. We are just so busy it is impossible to get it cleaned for the next guests. We are always available by cell phone to help with any questions. Parking passes are provided at the office and there should be no other charges. The office is no longer open Sundays so just get your pass on Monday is you arrive on the weekend. Just let them know what unit you are staying in and they will give you a pass that will need to be displayed in your vehicle for the length of your visit. If we are not on Island we have contacts that can help you with any immediate problems. Honokowai is located in a quiet area of West Maui where you can enjoy the warm breezes, uncrowded beaches and swaying palms yet you're just minutes away from upscale dining and shopping as well as an abundance of fun ocean and land activities. Set at the northern tip of the Kaanapali Resort area, Honokowai is an ideal vacation destination for those who love sunny days and beautiful beaches. Things To Do Snorkeling and body boarding are popular in this region including at Honokowai Beach Park, a nice place for a swim amid colorful sea life. The beach itself is a bit rocky and narrow though you can find some openings in the reef to explore interesting coral formations and marine life habitat. This is also a great location for seeing Hawaii's majestic humpback whales breaching offshore during the winter months, or get a closer look at these gentle giants on a whale watching tour. Head over the resort areas of Kaanapali Beach and Kapalua Beach to enjoy more pristine beaches and plenty of options for activities from snorkeling and scuba diving to boat tours and parasailing. Black Rock at Kaanapali is an exceptional snorkeling and scuba diving area. Golfers will enjoy the spectacular golf courses in the nearby resort areas of Kaanapali and Kapalua. The Royal Kaanapali Golf Course has hosted LPGA events and takes in sweeping views of West Maui. Notable is the beautiful oceanfront green on hole No.5, and the 18th hole has water on one side from tee to green making it one of Arnold Palmer's favorites. After your day's adventures grab some fresh seafood at the local fish market and throw it on the barbecue for your own perfect Hawaii evening. Nearby Beaches Visit Honokowai Beach Park for exceptional snorkeling with lots of colorful fish and frequent sightings of Hawaiian green sea turtles. The park has a nice lawn, benches, barbecues, restrooms and showers making it a great place for a relaxing picnic and day at the beach. There is even a small playground with swings and monkey bars for the kids to play on. The beach has both sandy and rocky areas with a coral reef farther out where it is still fairly shallow. This can be a great swimming beach for kids when the ocean is calm, and there are also some interesting tidepools to explore. More great beaches are found throughout this region including Kaanapali to the south and Kapalua to the north. Restaurants The local commercial area of Honokowai includes a supermarket, health food store, coffee shop, dive shop and some restaurants as well as a deli. Some of the best shopping in this region can be found at the posh resort areas of Kapalua and Kaanapali or the Canary Mall and Outlets. For a nice evening stroll you can walk the beach from Honokowai all the way down to Black Rock at Kaanapali Resort. Browse the shops and grab a bite to eat along the boardwalk promenade fronting a beautiful stretch of beach. A large number of shops can also be found to the south in Lahaina town. Most people rent cars when they get to Maui there are airport shuttles. We use CB Taxi for airport transfer or Uber. It seems to be the best deal on that I can find. If you choose to local public transportation there is a bus service on the island and the bus stop is very close. We are in walking distance from a grocery, restaurants, and Farmer's Marker so living without a car is "doable". Craig and I have spent a great deal of time in the islands. We have a ritual which may just give you some ideas to improve your trip. Everyone travels differently, but you may find a nugget that just might be useful. When we land one of us stays and collects the luggage and whoever rented the car goes directly to the shuttle to collect the car. It can be quite a wait at the rental car agencies so the quicker you get there the better and you don’t have to haul your luggage. When you get the car you just swing back through the terminal and pick up the luggage. Next, we are off to Costco which is located on your left as you leave the airport. Now just let me explain, we are not the only ones who have this very same plan. This Costco is probably the busiest place in the country. We get our drinks, meat for the barbecue, and the clothes are great. I love my Japanese Green tea and mixers too. There is also a Whole Foods which is great. Now you are headed to the West side of the Island, as we say. It is only about 25 miles, but it is usually slow going. Enjoy the ride because it is likely that you will be coming in the afternoon and the drive along the Pali is really beautiful. You can see Lanai, Molokini, and Molokai and possibly a whale or two at the right time of year. If you are still interested in some smaller things at the store the Safeway in Lahaina (also on your left at the Cannery Mall) is the second busiest store on the Island. Make sure you get a Safeway card if you don’t have one. There is a Times Market a block from the condo and I think you will find everything you need for a short stay. They also have last minute gifts if you are looking to take something back to the mainland. One of our newest additions is a Food Truck Park just two blocks down and across from the Times Market. It is awesome and all reports from guests are good!! Hopefully you arrive at the condo to unload your luggage, settle in, grab an umbrella drink, and see the sunset just steps from the condo. If you bypass all the shopping and decide to eat out you will have a multitude of choices. Ka’anapali offers many great restaurants, most of them at resort prices, but great setting and often they have entertainment. Keeping it local, across the street is Fish Market, Okazuya Deli, both awesome. The entertainment is fun at Java Jazz in the Times Shopping Center. Local musicians play in there nightly and it is good music. Seahouse Restaurant, Dukes, and the Gazebo up in Napili are great for breakfast, the only problem is that I am not the only one who likes them. Gazebo lines can be daunting. For authentic Chinese try, China Boat which is on the Lower Road (by the way, you live on the Lower Road) down about 2 miles. Sansei is amazing Sushi up in Kapalua and so is Miso Phat right down the street, but more of a takeout. If you want to try a local pub, don’t miss Dollies for sports and great pizza. If you want an unbelievable burrito it will be a food truck down in Lahaina next to the Train Station. It sits in the parking lot with Sherwin Williams paints and Subway. It is owned by Jose and his sister Elsa. Elsa and her husband Gil do all of our housekeeping. It’s a small island!!! On the higher end, try Merriman's Kapalua where you can enjoy the food artistry of chef Peter Merriman, one of the pioneers of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. Roy's is at Kaanapali Golf Course at Kaanapali, Japengo's, Monkeypod, Hula Grill, Lahaina Grill, Gerard's. For a mid-day rejuvenating meal try the hearty burgers and sandwiches at Leilani's or Dukes on the Beach located along the Kaanapali Beachwalk. It is always cost effective to pay attention to Happy Hours which are usually 3-5 in the islands. If you like adventure there is certainly plenty to keep you busy. You can try driving around the West side of the island from the condo. It has some amazing views but be aware that the road is very narrow in some places Many will tell you that Mama’s Fish House is one of the top musts in the world. I have to say it really is at the top of my list. Stop by Charley’s in Paia also and you might even get to hear Willie Nelson play a tune. Hana is always worth a day if you have not been there. It is on the other side of the island and is about 50 miles out of Kahului. It is quite an adventure to see black sand beaches and the Seven Pools. Haleakala Crater is worth a sunrise, but take your sweaters because it is cold but you are now required to make reservations and they must be done months in advance. Taking a nice upcountry drive is fun. You can visit Maui’s Winery and drink some pineapple wine. You might also try Grandma’s Coffee House. You can take a drive to Wailea and Kihei which has always been a favorite for Craig and I because we are golfers. We love playing one of the Wailea courses and having lunch at Mulligan’s Irish Pub on the Blue Course. Lahaina is a wonderful town, have a Burger in Paradise and enjoy discovering all the little shops and at least one sunset. My final jewel is La Provence in Lower Kula. If you are out on an adventure and want a wonderful dinner at a very reasonable price give it a try. It has amazing views, the most amazing pastries in the morning, a delightful lanai lunch and a 9 table restaurant for dinner. We have left a lot of information in the condo. Brochures that may give you some ideas and books that really give you a touch of Maui. Enjoy your explorations and I hope you enjoy the Island as much we do! Wishing you a warm Aloha, Craig and Julie Check-in time is at 4:00 PM for all units. Unfortunately, we cannot be very flexible with the check in times or the check outs. This is a single unit and full most of the time. You arrival is flexible after 4:00pm because your access is by keypad entry. The check out time is 11:00am. We schedule cleaning in advance so it is very difficult to alter and most of the time we have same day turnarounds. We have provided a keypad entry prompt access. You will also receive a code for the condo and Pool Area. There is plenty of open parking and it is free for guests. That is important on Maui. I will ask for an email so that I can send all the information for checking in. The email also provides codes and address etc. I am a very hands on Host. As you can tell by this listings I provide a great deal of information. A few weeks before your arrival I send you all the information you will need for checking in including codes, address, WIFI info etc. You will have my phone number that you can call or text anytime. I want your time on Maui to be very special with much Aloha!! Keeping it local, across the street is Fish Market, Okazuya Deli, both awesome. The entertainment is fun at Java Jazz in the Times Shopping Center. Local musicians play in there nightly and it is good music. Seahouse Restaurant, and the Gazebo up in Napili are great for breakfast, the only problem is that I am not the only one who likes them. Gazebo lines can be daunting. Sands of Kahana has some casual oceanfront dining and on the more local side. For authentic Chinese try, China Boat which is on the Lower Road (by the way, you live on the Lower Road) down about 2 miles. Sansei is amazing Sushi up in Kapalua and so is Miso Phat right down the street, but more of a takeout. If you want to try a local pub, don’t miss Dollies for sports and great pizza, it is where the locals hang out and the drinks are cheap!! Most people rent cars when they get to Maui but there are airport shuttles Uber, Lyft, and bus service on the lsland. We are in walking distance from a grocery, restaurants, and Farmer's Marker so living without a car is "doable". Maui has so many beautiful places to visit. Having a car is essential to see things. By the time you pay for transfers it is probably similar pricing. There is plenty of free parking at Paki so that makes things easier. We provide a great deal of extras, our kitchen is well appointed, the grounds are well maintained, and I think overall you will feel like this is your home away from home.
