The space The open living space has vaulted ceilings and gets tons of light from tall windows, with flat screen TV and a cozy gas fireplace great for cool evenings or winter visits. The newly updated kitchen opens to the dining area and has quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a full set of cookware. There is a full-sized washer/dryer. Both bathrooms are newly renovated with upscale finishes...the master bath has a walk-in shower and the other bath has a whirlpool tub. All bedrooms are very spacious, with the master bedroom and one other bedroom on the main floor. The third bedroom is loft style with a balcony, and is located upstairs from the main living space (largely private but is partially open to the space below). One garage spot is included , with four additional parking spots in the driveway. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and one garage spot. Other things to note The home is in a semi-rural area. The last quarter mile to the house is on a private, unpaved gravel road. The road should be no problem for most any vehicle spring through fall. FOR WINTER VISITORS: we love it up there in winter, and it's beautiful in the snow! A vehicle with good winter handling would be recommended for visits from late November through March. Union Pier is in the “snow belt” and can get lake-effect snowfalls off of Lake Michigan. The road to the house is always plowed after heavy snows, but will not be plowed after every minor snowfall (and you will be driving on packed snow, not dry pavement). But it’s nothing most Midwesterners couldn’t handle. We do have a garage spot available for winter visitors. Typically snow removal on the property itself is up to the guest. PETS: We will allow one adult dog, weight limit 60 lbs, and will consider two small dogs. See our pet policy in house rules.
