The Orchard House is a modern, two bedroom cottage nestled in a private garden orchard with mature cherry, plum, peach, nectarine, apple and almond trees. Spectacular blossoms abound in spring, an abundance of fruit in summer, turning gold in autumn in homage to the 19th century mining past of this enchanting Central Otago enclave. Located in Bannockburn, a rich wine growing region with some of NZ's premier vineyards. 45 minutes to Queenstown or Wanaka and on the doorstep of historic Cromwell. The space The Orchard House is a warm, inviting, well-appointed modern cottage with full kitchen and laundry facilities. It features an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with wifi and Netflix available. The main bedroom has a queen bed and wardrobe storage. The second bedroom has a double bed with space for a suitcase, probably more suitable for two kids to top-and-tail than a seperate couple. Heat-pump/air-conditioning is available, as is a covered deck to relax on with a bottle of local wine, cider or craft beer while you watch the sun set over the snowy Pisa Range. There is off street parking for a car/campervan. Guest access Guests will be able to use the whole cottage privately as it is situated away from the main house. Feel free to wander the orchard and pick fruit to snack on if ripe.
