The cottage is centrally located, halfway up a terraced hill facing out toward the lovely River Avon. It is a historic Grade II listed building, one in a series of four-story row homes that were originally built for textile weavers. On the ground floor, an incredible 18th-century cloth dyeing pit (covered over in the 1960s) was re-excavated in 2003 and now serves as a quaint writing nook! This charming two bed, two bath cottage is uniquely arranged over four floors and comfortably accommodates four people. The entrance on the ground floor opens into a spacious living room with a television, electric fireplace and cozy sitting area (including the historic nook!). The second floor features a bedroom with two twin beds, and a separate full bath with a large tub and shower combo. The third floor is where you will find the fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with a stovetop, oven, microwave, fridge, electric wood stove, and the combo washer/dryer. There is an additional entrance on this floor which leads to a lush alley behind the row homes. Finally, the top floor primary suite features a full-size bed, full en suite bathroom with newly renovated shower, and television, with truly fabulous views overlooking the town! Wireless internet is available throughout the home. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately this cottage is not suitable for the infirm or handicapped.
