Farm stay in Aci Castello

Located at the base of Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, the property is found along a green pathway extending between the coastline and the geological formations of the basalt pillow hill. Once the train station of Aci Castello, the property has been converted to a charming villa with a luxerious green garden. The breathtaking view of the town and Cyclops coastline can be enjoy from the garden equipped with tables and chairs, a perfect place to relax and soak in the mediterranean sun The space As mentioned in the brief initial description, my property was developed from an old train line and toll station, which after many years has become a beautiful green pathway filled with Mediterranean and tropical plants, including a large vivarium of Aloe Vera. At the end of the pathway is a 1000 square meter tunnel (the old train tunnel) made of lava stone, where I used to make a seasonal production of mushrooms. As a consequence the place offers the oppotunity to wander and explore nature and enjoy total relaxation admiring the view in complete tranquility. The room is very comfortable with a gorgeous sea view. In the surrounding area guests can relax in an atmosphere of pure serenity and calmness. Guests can also enjoy a pizza in the new pizzeria opened just next door and play tennis in the nearby tennis courts. Guest access Besides the rooms and the fully equipped kitchen inside, guests can also access the green pathway extending from the entrance to the tunnel. Along the green pathway guests may have access to the orchards, a plant nursery, the aloe vera vivarium, and a large open air with tables and chairs. During your stay I am always available for any problem that my guests might have (hopefully none!) and I am happy to give you any advice you may need regarding the best restaurants, shops, where to buy good fish, walks etc. Usually I also host one or two volunteers who help me with the maintenance of the place and assist with guests, I also have friends who come for dinner or to spend some time in this peaceful place, so guests will be also able to enjoy interaction with local people as well as people from other countries. I used to work as a professional cook and I still love cooking. In my Green Way I enjoy having lunch or dinner together with my guests and sharing with them the food I prepare. I can invite guests for lunch or dinner and in this case I would very much appreciate a contribution for the grocery shopping. Other things to note On request, guests can rent bikes to explore the beautiful coastline from Catania to Acireale, which offers panoramic roads and picturesque settlements. Next to my property, just down the stairs, there is a sport facility with three tennis courts and two beach volley courts. Also, a new pizzeria just opened next door. The area (Aci Castello and Aci Trezza) is the place where the formation of of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. As a consequence, from the geological point of view it this is a place of scientific remarkable interest.
