Close by are many of the Big Island attractions - 'A' Bay and the Waikoloa Resort area - where you can snorkel along coral reefs, walk along a mile long white sand beach, and explore two large petroglyph fields, ancient fish ponds, and Hawaiian temples. At the Waikoloa Resorts you can also take a daytime or sunset sailing cruise, a whale-watching expedition. The resorts also offer fine dining and great shopping. Swimming with the dolphins and helicopter rides are also close by. Waimea, an old cattle ranching town, with many fine restaurants and shopping is just 15 minutes away. There are 2 cable TV's and a DVD player.  Cooled with ceiling fans in the summer and warmed by a fireplace in the winter, this is your 'Hale Sweet Hale' on the Big Island.  Two lanais across the back with a table and 4 chairs give you privacy and a place to enjoy meals while outdoors. Guests receive discounted golf at the adjacent golf course and have access to the solar heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, and barbeque area on the grounds of the complex.
