'Cataclews' - a seaside home (sleeps 6) located: Yellow Sands Holiday Cottages, Harlyn Bay - a superb horseshoe shaped sandy beach, safer for surf/swim. Local village and Padstow harbour, a short drive. 'Cataclews' fairly spacious, comfortably furnished, well equipped and cared for. The 7 Bays area, linked around NT Trevose Headland by scenic coastal paths and Padstow on Camel Estuary provide much of interest/events -and is also a great base from which to explore Cornwall on fab day trips out. The space Yellow Sands is a small family run holiday complex of apartments and cottage style bungalows. Located within a 5 minute walk of the beach at Harlyn Bay, the accommodation is ideal for family bucket and spade summer holidays and also available at lower rates to couples wanting escapes over the quieter spring and autumn/winter months for beach walking, Cornwall touring and restaurant blowouts?! X (there is a calendar of seasonal events in the Padstow area and around Cornwall.. lots to consider.) Guest access NB - Please note/read: In the Summer Season we let the property on a Weekly basis, (especially during the school holidays). The usual changeover day is Saturday to Saturday. I would be very grateful to hear from prospective guests BEFORE making a reservation via the site, in order for me to double check the Availability (as I have a bkg arrangement with "Yellow Sands Cottages" also). I would rather avoid the: 'instant booking' option and thereby sometimes the need to have to cancel arrangements!? Confusion can arise, unfortunately, as Out of the Summer Season, I am able to accept Part Week/flexible days and instant bookings is helpful with this..x Other things to note C a t a c l e w s - is the name of the headland at the far end of the bay.. Cataclews Point. (The views along the coast reach a long distance from the bench up on the top here. Cataclews was mined for it's beautiful blue/green slate - the carved font in St. Merryn Church is made from Cataclews slate. The cottage (bungalow) was built in 1990 at the lane side entrance end to the small "YELLOW SANDS COTTAGES" (and separate Apartment house) family run holiday complex. Within easy walking distance of the centre of the beach at Harlyn Bay, near Padstow, Cornwall.
