It will take place on the walkways (not beachside) and there may be some noise associated with it. This will take place during work hours on weekdays when most folks are out enjoying the island or beach anyway. It is unknown at this time when or if the work will be taking place near the condo. If that does happen and you decide that you would like to leave, I will issue a pro-rated refund for any nights that you vacated early, so that you can find accommodations elsewhere. This part of the island is a mixture of socio-economic backgrounds. We have multimillion dollar homes mixed with lower income housing and unfortunately, some homeless camps. There are camps on the west side because of the great weather, but there are homeless all over the island, especially in the big city. The average price of a home is well over a million dollars here. That prices a lot of people out of paradise. That being said, you are much more likely to be a victim of a crime in Waikiki or at a tourist destination than you would be at the Hawaiian Princess. We are a gated and secure building. Most people leave their lanai doors open 24/7 to let the breeze come in and to hear the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just as an FYI, we live in the area, and we have never had an incident related to the homeless, except maybe someone holding a sign looking for a meal or a couple of dollars.
