All with a fair cost, see you :) The space We aspire to live in the village, on a plot of land enough to live, grow plants and tress, raise chickens, make a community space and some Rumah Kayon's accommodation units. While we work towards these dreams, our Rumah Kayon begins by offering two rooms in the house we live in today in the city of Salatiga. An ordinary 1980s house in the middle of the kampung, but with artistic-eclectic touches here and there makes our home unique and alive ... and not so ordinary at all! Salatiga is a small city at the foot of Merbabu mountain in the middle of the island of Java; from Rumah Kayon we are only 10 minutes drive from the town and market center. Salatiga is a strategic city; only 1 hour journey from Semarang (Ahmad Yani) airport the capital of Central Java province, 1 hour from Surakarta (Adi Sumarmo) airport the famous batik city, and 2.5 hours to Yogyakarta (Adi Sucipto airport) a city famous for its vibrant arts culture and history. And from Salatiga if we climb up through the Merbabu Mountain we reach Magelang city with its famous Borobudur temple within 1.5 hours. Guest access Guests can access bathroom (traditional handbathing facilities), kitchen (with all kitchen utensils), side verandah / garage, back verandah at any time in sharing with other residents. During your stay As the owner, we make sure our guests have their own space in any time. On the other hand we also like to interact with our guests as far as they don't mind.
