Rental unit in Rennes

1 bedroom (11 m2 furnished: mattress&sommier-120x190 = queen bed, wardrobe, office) is available in the modest apartment I occupy (Emmanuelle, an employee of 40 years) and located on a high floor in a luxury residence dating from the late 1960s, not far from Place des Lices. Shared kitchen, bathroom & toilet. Wi-Fi. A CAT also lives in the apartment, and we DO NOT have a microwave oven. The space The apartment is 100 m2 and is located on a high floor, in a luxury residence dating from the late 60s, not far from Place des Lices (Bourg L'Evêque district). The apartment is almost fully furnished and equipped: 3 bedrooms in total (2 are already occupied); shared kitchen, bathroom & toilet. Wi-Fi. Note, a CAT also lives in the apartment and we have NO microwave (but everything else or almost;-). And there is carpet on the floor (except in the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet). Also note: there are no shutters in the bedroom but double curtains. The apartment is accessible via an elevator but to access the latter, you will have to climb a staircase of about twenty steps (2 entrances are possible: the main one with the stairs and the other on almost one level - 3 steps). If you are very busy, let me know. I will tell you how to get through the entrance which has only 3 steps, located at the back of the building. There is a dedicated bike garage at the residence, and you can park your car in a secured garage located underneath the building (if you are coming by car and would like to use our parking space, please let me know in advance so I can give you the information to access it and we can arrange a time for me to open the door for you). ⚠️ If you want to use our parking space to park your car there, I will ask you for an additional 5 euros per stay to participate in the charges. Guest access We are less than a 10-minute walk from Place Sainte-Anne and the "Sainte-Anne" (lines A and B) or "Anatole France" (line A) metro station. The "Horizons" bus stop (line C1) is at the foot of our residence. The train station is a 30-minute walk and 20 minutes by metro (from the "Sainte-Anne" station, line A towards Poterie) or by bus (line C1 from the "Horizons" or "Les Lices" stop towards Rosa Parks). Saint-Jacques Airport is about 5 km away (45 minutes by bus via line C6 – Cité Judiciaire stop, 15 minutes by car). Note: you will need to climb about twenty steps to access the main entrance of the building. If you are very busy, let me know. I'll show you another entrance at the back of the building that has only 3 steps. Arrivals possible between 7pm and 10pm (if you want to arrive outside these hours, please let me know as I can try to accommodate your wishes). Checkout: 11 a.m. at the latest (but again, please let me know what works for you). Thanks! During your stay With us, it's more of a friendly atmosphere with mutual respect for everyone. Everyone is free to come and go and we are pretty busy but if you need anything we will be there to help you! Other things to note You have a desk available in the room. In the evening, we often dine in the kitchen or on the balcony on sunny days. You can do as we do, or dine outside (there are options for on-site dining or takeout nearby). Breakfast is included in the price, you can serve yourself in the fridge and cabinets. You can shop at the Carrefour Market supermarket located at the foot of the residence or at the Biocoop store nearby. Also in the immediate vicinity, you will find: a pharmacy, a bank, a tobacco shop, a hairdresser, 2 bars, a laundromat, a doctor's office, and the Les Lices market (on Saturday mornings), which is a 2-minute walk away. Finally, a small message to the attention of those who would expect miracles;-) - very few people but as we have been confronted a few times for 6 years and more and more recently = to avoid possible "disappointments" and so that you can opt for a hotel or accommodation that would better meet your possible requirements: we offer a room in our humble home located in the immediate vicinity of the historic center at the rate of 31 euros (excluding AB and cleaning fees, sheets provided and breakfast included). For comparison, on the same dates (July 17–18, 2026): - A bed in a 4-person single-gender dorm at the hostel, breakfast included, costs €37.95 per night, - One night in a 4 m² wooden cabin at the Rennes campsite (without breakfast, kitchen, or linens, and using the campsite's sanitary facilities) costs €44, And the rate for one night in a hotel room without breakfast and without a window :-) is €68 (non-refundable). All this to say that we are not tourism professionals, and that is not our goal! It's the interactions and connections that AB can facilitate that we enjoy in this adventure. We offer our guest room, for a fee, when it is not in use. The bedroom is located in the apartment, which is our main residence. Therefore, you will need to deal with the fact that the apartment: - is decorated according to our preferences (which may not be the same as yours ;-), - Dates back to the 1960s - so it's a bit “in its original state,” - And that some of our belongings may be in the common areas.
