This lovely, spacious condo at Kahalu'u Beach (Turtle Beach) has incredible Ocean and Sunset views, and is the perfect escape for guests wanting easy access to swimming, snorkeling, surfing and golfing. Ours is an unit on the ground floor in the back with unobstructed views of the ocean and coastline (no stairs and away from street noise). Our complex, the Beach Villa, is the newest development in Kailua-Kona and offers off-street parking, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a cozy lava rock spa, a gas barbecue and a large picnic area with tables, chairs and lounge chairs for family gatherings. The Keikei area of the Infinity Pool is great for kids to play in or simply for all to sit and sunbathe in the shallow water. Our condo also offers a full cooking kitchen. Costco is a convenient stop on the way from the airport where guests may stock up for groceries. Guests will have full use of this lovely, spacious (1063 SF) condo on the beach front which offers: --- master bedroom with king bed and cable TV. --- second bedroom with 2 twin beds which may be converted to a king. --- living room with convertible sofa bed, cable TV and DVD. --- lanai for relaxing and watching the colorful sunset, swaying palms & rolling waves. --- 2 bathrooms, each with glass block shower and art glass sink. --- full cooking kitchen. Guests will have also full access to all the amenities offered by the Beach Villas complex, including off-street parking, infinity pool, lava rock spa, and the barbecue area with tables, chairs, umbrellas and lounge chairs for family gatherings. Boogie boards, snorkel gears, cooler, umbrella, beach towels, beach chairs and sand toys are all available to guests without extra charges. However, to assure better fits, guests may bring their own gears. Before arrival, guests are encouraged to email, call or text us. We are available 7 days a week, and will respond promptly and thoroughly on all questions and inquiries. Upon arrival, guests will be provided with a recommended list of restaurants and activities. Our onsite manager, living nearby in the neighborhood can resolve issues and answer questions on a real time basis. In addition, we've arranged for a concierge nearby who can help with island planning, boat trips and other bookings. Kahalu'u Beach Park across the street is well protected by sea walls, and provides for gentle swimming and a tide pool for kids. Sea turtles and colorful fish of various species are so plentiful making this spot the snorkeling paradise in the Big Island. Immediately to the north past the swimming/snorkeling are the rolling surfs where surf boards may be rented. Guests may also use the boogie boards stocked in our unit, saving the trouble of renting boards. Golfing in the Kona Country Club is only 1/2 mile down the road. Its 4 star Ocean Course offers a spectacular setting of lush, wide fairways, and the sparkling Pacific at one's feet. Its 4-1/2 star Mountain Course overlooking the ocean offers a more challenging terrain with Ancient Hawaiian rock slides running through the center. Its Vista Restaurant has a spectacular view and serves customers breakfast and lunch. Shopping and restaurants (including the famous Sam Choy's Kai Lanai) are all within a short distance, making our condo a comfortable home away from home for guests. Across street from the condo is the stop for the open air trolley running every hour to the pier and into town where a variety of stores, restaurants and bars are located. Along the way are beaches and fantastic vistas. The Sheraton hosts the Giant Manta Rays show every night. After dinner and the show, guests may catch the convenient trolley back to the condo. Kayaks can be rented at $40 per day at Keauheous Bay which is within walking distance from the condo. Boats trips to nearby famous snorkeling/diving spots like Captain Cook and City of Refuge are offered at docks within 1/2 mile of the condo . Guests will love the morning or evening strolls along beautiful Alii Drive. There are so many little coves and areas where one can just walk out on smooth lava rocks in between homes and take in the gorgeous views. After having a morning cup of coffee, our guests typically gather their snorkeling gear and walk across the street to enjoy the best snorkeling spot on the island before the crowds show up. Sometime they are the only ones there and get to see the fish and turtles while the water is still pristine. Later in the afternoon after the crowds have left, they may even return for another round of snorkeling, surfing, or paddle boarding. There is nothing like NOT having to pack your gear, towels, food, and water; driving your car, and then looking for a parking space.
