You will seldom need your car after arriving as charming Hanalei village is within walking distance with its excellent restaurants, lively night spots and shopping. Only a block and a half away is the world famous, crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay, ranked by National Geographic Traveler as one of the top ten beaches in the world. Hanalei can only be reached over a series of quaint one-way bridges and is never overwhelmed by tourists. It is the home of many celebrities and famous writers and is noted for its amazing scenery and lush vegetation. House is limited to four people of any age - babies are not exempt, sorry. We have a Cal King bed in one bedroom and a king in the other which can be divided into extra long twin beds for an additional charge of 100.00 plus taxes. House has half-bath on first floor and an outdoor shower. We are happy to rent for less than a week between gaps of six days or less. Please make an inquiry to discuss. We generally prefer start dates on Saturday nights in the peak weeks of summer, depending on length of stay etc. For stays over two weeks, an in-clean is required at an additional charge of $157.07, sales tax included. This home is a vacation rental and guests should not expect the same amenities as at a hotel including toiletries, comestibles and other supplies. We start our guests off with some hand soap and toilet paper for their arrival but otherwise it is not practical to offer supplies for the duration of their stay. The residence is located in a tsunami inundation zone. In the event of a tsunami, evacuation information is posted in the residence. The adjacent property has begun construction on a home. We want to make sure that there aren’t any surprises when you arrive. So far, none of our guests have found the construction to be a nuisance. The contractor for the project has stated that working hours are limited to weekdays no earlier than 7:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. No construction will take place on weekends. Hopefully you’ll be at the beach, on excursions and enjoying this beautiful island during construction times. Entire house. No interaction with host/owner. Our housekeeper and service people live in Hanalei for any emergencies. Quiet area of mostly full time residents, never overwhelmed by tourists. Not a "spring break" type destination. This is a family-friendly home on the lush, green North Shore that is cooled by the trade winds in summer. No car necessary once arrived at the house but recommended for traveling around the beautiful island of Kauai. Parties, events, receptions etc are not allowed. Guests must comply with rules about noise, loud music etc and respect neighbors right to quiet enjoyment of their neighborhood.
