This apartment complies with Honolulu short-term vacation rental laws. The Red Ginger is a compact studio apartment perfectly located less than 30 steps from the beach and a short walk from the center of Waikiki. The apartment makes a great home base for exploring Honolulu and the rest of Oahu. The Red Ginger Suite has one queen bed and a small galley kitchen with a two burner cooktop, microwave, coffee maker and all the necessary dishes, glassware and utensils for preparing simple meals. There is cable tv and free wifi. The apartment has a small private balcony with a city view of Waikiki. An expansive roof deck on top of the hotel provides a bird's eye view of Diamond Head. There are lounge chairs for sunbathing and tables for alfresco dining. No one else in Waikiki has a better view of the sun setting into the Pacific. Kapiolani Park is just across the street and offers the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, the Royal Hawaiian Bandstand, tennis courts, soccer fields, archery ranges, weekend art shows and the city's Sunset on the Beach free concerts and movies - all this in its 500 green acres. One of the main reasons for coming to Hawaii is of course the sun and sand. Surfing, stand up board paddling, outrigger canoeing, swimming and simply lounging on the beach are all just a few steps from the Red Ginger Suite. Hawaii is the crossroads of the Pacific and its culinary offerings reflect that abundantly, so while the Red Ginger Suite has a kitchen and microwave, you are a short walk away from countless cafes and restaurants catering to every taste and price range. Similarly, if you can get yourself out of the water and away from the beach there is a lot of shopping to be done in Waikiki, and the many other shopping venues just a short drive away. The Red Ginger Suite is located at the end of Waikiki. Kapahulu Avenue provides easy access to the freeway, and makes getting in and out of the area very easy because you avoid all the traffic in the heart of Waikiki. Located on the 6th Floor Hawaii State Tax ID# W(phone number hidden) Instead of being in the middle of the concrete jungle - that Waikiki can be .... you'll be located on the quiet end. The beach, as you can see in the pictures, is just a few steps away, so is Kapiolani Park, and if you'll have a car this makes getting in and out of Waikiki a lot easier. If you don't have a car, most of the major bus routes have stops just outside the building or a short walk away. Organized bus tours and visitor trolleys have a pick up/drop off point just a block over from the condo. The Red Ginger is a studio apartment which is completely yours to stay in. You are the only guests and do not share the space with anyone else. The apartment is located in Waikiki on the island of Oahu. You should remember Waikiki is a busy urban environment, and so it's like many American cities - meaning there is traffic, noise, congestion and sadly - homelessness. Like other major cities there are people from all walks of life, both residents and visitors. However you will be on the quiet end of Waikiki and not in the center of all the congestion and high-rise hotels. The beach is 30 steps away, and you are across the street from the Honolulu Zoo and a huge park. This is definitely the calmer end of Waikiki, but the center of all the action is just a short walk away. The apartment does not have its own parking space, but guests can usually rent one directly from building management. There is a parking garage 1.5 blocks away from the building that has daily, weekly and monthly rates. They are a bargain. Alternatively there is a city owned parking lot across the street with metered parking, and about a 5 minute walk away the city has another lot which is (amazingly!) free. As part of the reservation record, I will need an address for guests staying at the Red Ginger. The address can be for home or work, but is needed so that I'm in compliance with Hawaii state tax laws.
