The Makai Suite is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath suite located on the 2nd floor of the Diamond Head Beach Hotel & Residences, an oceanfront building on Oahu’s Gold Coast. The Makai Suite is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath suite located on the 2nd floor of the Diamond Head Beach Hotel & Residences, an oceanfront building on Oahu’s Gold Coast. The 750 square feet interior of The Makai Suite is tastefully simple and overly comfortable. The living room has an over-sized sofa with a pull out bed , a large flat-screen TV, DVD player, Bose surround sound and track lighting that dims. However **PLEASE NOTE** TO GET TO THE SECOND BEDROOM, YOU MUST WALK THROUGH THE FIRST BEDROOM TO GAIN ACCESS TO IT . THERE IS A PRIVACY CURTAIN. Both bedrooms have their own access to bathroom. Bathroom has a Walk-in shower, NO tub. There is a full kitchen with granite counter tops that include a dishwasher and everything you need to prepare a meal. The Makai Suite also comes with free Wi-Fi and cable television throughout the duration of your stay. The Makai Suite does NOT have an ocean view, however the building features a beautiful lawn/garden area at the back of the building with lawn chairs and tables to watch the sunset or relax facing the ocean. Pet Policy: No pets are allowed in the unit. The Diamond Head Beach Hotel and Residences offers a peaceful, island atmosphere while being close enough to all the action. Located just minutes from Waikiki Beach along Kalakaua Avenue where you’ll find some of Honolulu’s best dining and entertainment. Ideal for those who want a quiet, low profile atmosphere, yet still want to be close to the city life. The Makai Suite will feel less like a hotel and more like your own ocean side condo. There will be 2 set of fobs available for you to get in and out of the building and to access the lanai. Guests have access to all common area floors such as the basement where the coin-operated laundry facility, ice makers and vending machines are located. You will automatically have access to your check in codes and instructions here on the AirBnB platform. If you are unable to access them, please contact us directly, or AirBnB customer service. Reserved parking space is available on a first come first serve basis @ $30 per day. This is for an assigned space in the garage. Let us know if you would like this service and we will reserve the space for you. There is also public parking is available across the street of the building on a first come, first serve basis. On-street metered parking is available from 10am -6pm for $0.50 an hour and is FREE from 6pm – 10am. Public Transportation is available in front of the building. The Makai Suite is a short 15 minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The closest beach is about a 5 minute walk from the building. We are located approximately 20 minutes from the Honolulu Airport. Tip: Keep a few quarters handy for the meters if you plan to self-park and/or do laundry. The laundry facility now offers debit/credit cards as payment. Laundry: There is a laundry facility in the basement of the building for a small fee. The credit card/coin-operated laundry machines costs $1.50/load for the washing machine and $1.00/load for the dryer. Laundry soap is not provided but can be purchased at the laundry facility. Ice Machine: There is an ice machine in the basement of the building next to the laundry facility for no extra charge. Pet Policy: No pets are allowed in the unit. All confirmed guests can access their Check-in/Check-out Instructions on AirBnB app on day of arrival.
