#20-NCD0303 Our historic, updated cabin is surrounded by amazing mountain views and open space, located half a mile from Rocky Mountain National Park entrance, where wildlife abounds. You'll love the fully equipped, modernized kitchen with adjacent dining table that seats six comfortably, laundry room, and large living room with fireplace, leather couches, fur blankets, flat-screen TV & 1Gig WiFi. Perfect for families (with kids), couples, solo adventurers, and small groups of 4 or fewer. Wonderful, private cabin in a quiet neighborhood, conveniently located just outside the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance on the west side of Estes Park. Hike into RMNP and explore Deer Mountain or Beaver Meadows from this location! Amazing mountain views and a large yard opening up to a meadow across from Big Thompson River. Master bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room has a pull-down queen bed, both new mattresses. Fully equipped kitchen with adjacent dining area. One full bathroom. Washer and dryer. Key is left under the front doormat for guest arrival after 3 p.m. My recommendation list for hikes, activities, restaurants, etc. are available in the cabin and also available ahead of time via email upon request. Our cabin is located in a quiet, rural neighborhood surrounded by mountain views and open space for viewing wildlife. The front yard abuts Rocky Mountain National Park land with a view of Big Thompson River and the entrance to the park a half mile away. It is about a mile from the heart of downtown Estes Park, with several restaurants and shops within a half mile. Shuttle service into RMNP and downtown Estes Park available during the summer months (June-September). The nearest shuttle stop is a half mile away from cabin. Our cabin makes a great base of operations for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park, since it is nestled between the two, and offers truly spectacular mountain views and opportunities to see wildlife (including elk, deer, rabbit, coyote, bear, moose, big horn sheep, badger, birds, etc.) in their natural environment. There is a peek of the Big Thompson River from the front of the cabin as well, a large front yard, a full-size Weber grill and 2 Adirondack chairs on the front deck to sit and enjoy the views. In winter and spring months, roads are well-plowed and maintained by the Town of Estes Park; however, 4WD vehicle or chains are recommended to explore our mountain town and Rocky Mountain National Park. Inside RMNP, the road leading up to the top of Trail Ridge, which crosses the Continental Divide, closes after the first heavy snow (usually late October) and is impassable at the top until snow thaws at the highest elevations (usually in late May). There are still plenty of trails to hike or snowshoe and sights to see (including wildlife) on the East side of RMNP during the Winter and Spring months (up to about 12,000 feet). The nearest downhill skiing is at Eldora Mountain Resort about an hour and half drive away.
