Within walking distance is a beach, where you can walk and swim, a few restaurants, stores, the aquarium and Ma'alaea Harbor for taking a snorkel boat or sunset cruise. My condo is a shared space with quiet hours starting at 8pm. Thank you. Check-in is 5pm, and check-out is 10am. There is no guest parking on the property. There is plentiful, free street parking close by. Bathroom towels are provided. Beach towels are not. Laundry room is on-site. I provide laundry detergent. Mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker in your room. Guests do not use the kitchen. I provide Folgers coffee, Coffee Mate Original Coffee Creamer, Lipton black tea bags, and packets of organic cane sugar, Equal, Sweet 'N Low, and Truvia. In addition to shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, I provide Cetaphil moisturizing lotion and disposable razors. I take great pride in providing clean and comfortable accommodations for my guests, but some parts of my condo have not been renovated since it was built in the 1970s and therefore some things (such as the bathroom sink and tub), despite much cleaning, show their age. If you need new accommodations, then my place is not the best fit. Thank you. A truly special location. The motion of the ocean pervades this space 24/7, and it's often windy in Ma'alaea, which creates great energy. During whale season, December through April, you'll have a front row seat to the best show on earth. Humpbacks travel from Alaska to give birth in the safe, warm waters of Ma'alaea Bay. I will enjoy a balance of getting to know you and respecting your privacy. Ma’alaea is a quiet retreat in central Maui, a perfect launch pad from which to explore the island. Whether you’re headed to the Westside, the North shore, south beaches, Hana, or up to the crater, Ma’alaea is a great, centrally-located starting point. A short walk to a beach that’s great for swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding and long walks. Also, a short walk to the Ocean Center Aquarium, restaurants, stores, a major bus stop, and the harbor, from which you can go out on a boat (snorkel boat, dinner cruise, fishing boat). If you plan a boating excursion, book one from Ma'alaea Harbor, which is a short walk from my condo. Most other tours depart from Lahaina harbor, which is a half-hour drive (or longer, if traffic is backed up). Ma'alaea is a wonderfully central location, the perfect launch pad for exploring all corners of Maui. I work full time as a teacher and go to bed early and get up early. As I'll be sleeping in the living room, quiet hours are 8pm to 6am. Most weekdays, you'll have the place to yourself from 6am till late afternoon or early evening. CLOSE DOORS QUIETLY During quiet hours, please do your best to close doors as quietly as possible. I will do the same, so we can all sleep uninterrupted. Also, when the curtain is closed, the kitchen and lanai are closed because I am sleeping. Kindly do not enter. Kitchen and lanai open at 6am. Mahalo:)
