Your stay will be in a budget-friendly room with private entrance/bath in the residential Alewa Heights neighborhood (completely private and exclusive to your group) very convenient to the highway to explore the entire island • No fighting traffic as you leave for your next adventure • 10 mins from airport • 16 mins to Ala Moana Shopping Center • 8 mins to DTHNL • 15 mins to Waikiki • 38 mins to the North Shore • 22 mins to Kailua • 1 free parking stall • Fully equipped/stocked kitchen This room is small. It comes with your own private entrance, parking, and private bathroom. Big enough for a queen size bed and a little walk way to put your things and get to the tv and fridge in the room. This room is usually pretty breezy. We don't have AC but we do provide a fan. This room requires walking down a set of stairs from the parking(private entrance). This room has a queen bed. This room is remodeled. House is on the older side. We try to keep it as clean as possible . This room is a great value for travelers that just want a place to sleep with privacy. We have a coin operated washer/dryer ($1.50/$1). Sorry this room has no kitchen since this is separate from main house. You will want to taste the food that Hawaii has to offer anyways :) My mom (Lin) is self employed so she is readily available and speaks broken English. I (Kellie) will also be available to help if I can. We can either meet you in person to give you the keys or leave in a lock box. If you have any questions feel free to email/text/call. We do not live on the property but we have other tenants living there. This is a multi unit house. If you need anything we are a call/text away. It's about a 15 minute drive for us to get to you. My mom might stop by once in awhile. We live in a safe and quiet neighborhood located on a mountain ridge in Honolulu. This house is conveniently located near the Pali onramp which leads to the North Shore, Kailua, Waikiki, Ala Moana and downtown. The most important thing is that place is in town! Traveling to the west or east side in the morning/afternoon you most likely will not encounter much traffic. If you were to live on the west side and come into town in the morning get ready to sit hours in traffic and when you go home from town to the West side get ready to sit couple hours in traffic again! Therefore you want to rent a place in town. Plus, the best restaurants are in town :) Car- We have one designated stall for you. Drive one minute to get on to the Pali Highway and that takes you to Kaneohe/Kailua (about 15-20 minute drive). Drive about 15 minutes to get to Ala Moana beach. Drive about 20-30 minutes to get to Waikiki Beach. Drive 5-10 minutes to get to downtown. I like this house because it doesn't take long to get to either side of the island and you almost skip traffic when you go home coming from the West side and when you're coming from the East side and driving home you miss the west side traffic. Bus-You can walk less than 1 minute to get to wait for the #10 bus or walk 3-5 minutes to get to the #13 bus stop. If you get on to #13 it will probably take about 15-20 minutes on the bus to get to downtown and from there you can transfer to wherever you please.
