Dance, Read Yoga @ Hale Lanikaula
Beautiful 1928 kamaaina home in central Hilo. Walk to downtown, Hilo bayfront, UHH, restaurants, & shopping. Full kitchen, spacious bedrooms, extensive library, downstairs reading room, covered porches, parking. Tango Pavilion 16X30 stage, grill, party tent. Our adjacent homes house scientists, researchers, nurses, engineers, graduate students and interns for the telescope community, observatories, and University. As such, we often host an international mix of residents from different countries. I often host the same scientists over and over, and they feel this is their home when returning to Hilo. We love making new friends, and the conversation here is never boring. Oh! And the avocados! If you hit it right, there are amazing butter pear avocados. So, whether you are here to coordinate a film crew, practice your Argentine Tango, outfit a simulated Martian expedition, write a retrospective, adapt optical instruments for telescopes, study climate change, practice yoga or simply relax and read a good book (or a dozen!) .... it is helpful to have resources on-site that can assist you with navigating your Big Island experience. I am here most of the time and able to assist if needed. We have additional staff on-site during events, as well as maintenance and cleaning staff. Each situation is unique. Please let us know what you need and we can assist in finding it. The house has three bedrooms and sleeps eight comfortably in real beds, plus additional futons are available. This listing is to request the ENTIRE house, if available. Contact us for further info. I am here most of the time and able to assist if needed.
