Rustic 2 bedroom cottage located on beachfront property. Fenced yard and gated access to beach. I have lived here over 30 years and still think it the best beach and area. Please read National Geographic Feb 2015 "Hawaiian Renaissance" for more. To clarify: The rate per night is based on 1-2 adults. Thereafter it is $25 per night per adult up to 4 maximum. Also, if you don't see dates or availability for the time you are interested in on my calendar please send me an inquiry. Makaha is located on the leeward (west) side of the island and therefor on the dry side - less rain. It is also considered "country" less developed and less touristy. We are known for snorkeling, turtles, dolphins, whales during their migration and also surfing - home to the first International surfing Contest and beautiful sunsets. The cottage sits on the street side of the property and has it's own gated entrance. There is space for one car in the middle of a three car carport. Most of the time, either my son or I are here in case of questions or concerns. The Bus stops close to the property but it is recommended to have a rental car for shopping, sightseeing, etc. The cottage is not air-conditioned but we have plenty of windows and fans.
