Hilo's best location is at Richardson's Beach Park on south Hilo bay. Best snorkeling on this side of the island across the street. Enjoy free kayaks, stand up paddle board, biking, snorkel gear, boogie boards. 3.5 miles from Downtown Hilo on south Hilo bay. Search hilovacationhomes for additional information on all my Hilo homes and a complete list of Hilo activities. I own 4 homes next to this house all across from the Beach Park. Prompt response! STVR: 19-359743, NUC: 19-1363 For larger groups of 5-8 people (or smaller groups wanting more space), the 3rd bedroom and 2nd bathroom can be accessed through a separate entrance downstairs. That bedroom/bath has a queen bed as well as a day bed and trundle bed for 2 additional full size twin mattresses. The living room, kitchen, dining area, and master bedroom have unobstructed ocean views. This house is right next door to the Hawaii Beaches House. Homes can be rented together for larger families or groups traveling together Both homes are located in the town of Hilo, just 5 miles from the airport. Our Beach Houses are close to Hilo Farmer's Market, restaurants, shopping, waterfalls, Volcano National Park with active volcano, farmer's market, tours, Astronomy Center, University of Hawaii, Hilo Medical Center (hospital), and visitor activities. House is equipped with a Kayak, boogie boards and beach equipment, DVD player, and high speed cable internet access (WiFi). This property boasts a large number of returning guests each year. NEED MORE SPACE?: Ask about the upscale 3br/2ba beachfront house next door. We have 3 additional homes 6 doors down the street. 1. (3) Bdrm/(3) Bath, 2. (4) bdrm/(3) bath and 6 bdrm, 5 bath. Search hilovacationhomes to view all my hilo area homes. Available year round for nightly, weekly, and extended stays. Kitchen/Living room: Both rooms are as you enter the house with full views behind a wall of windows overlooking Richardson's Beach Park. Plenty of living room seating. Watch TV/Netflix while enjoying the ocean views. Access is simply a 4 digit door code. This is provided at least a month before your stay as part of my Welcome package (access, directions, stores, restaurants and activities to do/places to visit). Enjoy access to private garden with koi pond in front of the house. All guests have my cell phone should they need help during their stay. Complete privacy and no security deposit, yet housekeeping and maintenance is available if needed (rare). Activities: There is more to do in and around Hilo than any town on any of the Islands. It just isn’t well advertised because there aren’t resorts to promote the area. Please visit http://hilovacationhomes.com/hilo-activities/ for the best organized site - showing activities by driving direction. These include: *Historic Downtown with shops and restaurants on the Bay. * Waterfalls right in town. Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots. * Akaka Falls just 25 minutes North of Hilo * Volcano National Park, just 35 minutes above Hilo * Hawaiian Botanical Gardens. One of the nicest gardens you will find. * Hilo Farmers Market. Everyday but largest on Wednesday and Saturday. * Liliuckalani Gardens at Hilo Bay including Coconut Island. * Lyland museum for historic information and geologic rocks. * Tsunami museum housed in a historic bank * Wine tasting at the Volcano Winery * Beer tasting right in town at Hawaii Nui Brewery * Coffee tasting at Hilo Coffee Mill on your way to the Volcano * Hilo Zoo. Free and very pretty. * Mauna Loa Nut company self guided "look through window" tour and gift shop. Free and nice shop for lunch and ice cream. * Historic Palace Theatre downtown. Check internet for show dates. * Nearby to Pahoa town, near active lava flows. *Continue on to Ahalanui Park's warm pond and then snorkle at Champagne Ponds (tidepools) in Kapoho. * Venture South beyond Volcano National Park to Punaluu County Park for lots of black sand and full time lounging turtles. * Continue South for Punaluu Bake shop and South Point Road. Incredible vistas from the most Southern point in the U.S. * Go North along the beautiful Hamakua coast and go horseback riding in Waipi'o Valley. You need to rent a car while visiting Hawaii. Both Hilo and Kona airports offer easy car rentals. I provide a well thought out list of the many activities available as well as there is soooo much to do on this side of the Island. See attached short list of activities.
