Nahele Mele is a 1000 sq ft private ohana unit built onto the main house. Our guests are seeking eco tourism in a jungle setting with sounds of ocean, river, birds and no traffic. The cottage does not share amenities with the main house, The owner lives in her own cottage on the property and is available to assist with island tips and home questions or concerns . All of the cottage pictures shown are of the ohana itself and are for the exclusive use of guests staying there. This cottage offers the unique experience of jungle island living in a peaceful , private setting. Beaches are within walking distance. The beauty of nature abounds and it is a delight for photographers, bird watchers, hikers, and nature and beach lovers. The English name is Song of the Jungle. The guests have a private entrance and exclusive use of the 1000 sq ft unit which includes kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom , outdoor and indoor shower, private lawn area, private screened lanai and washer dryer. I give my guests space but am available when needed and can be reached by cell phone at any time. We have a quiet layback neighborhood . The corner store is 1/4 mile away. The valley has an amphitheatre effect so as a neighborhood we are aware of that and don't play loud music or tv or have loud parties. There is a shuttle that stops at the Wainiha corner grocery store ( 1/4 mile away) It will take you into Hanalei ( 3 miles away) or down to the beaches. The main house is also rented out at times to one person or one couple. We leave windows open on the island so as to enjoy the trade winds so there are times you may hear another person or some neighborhood noises. Otherwise we hear only the jungle sounds of ocean river and birds.
