This home is 25 minutes from the airport, close to world class beaches, amazing hikes, and is in quaint Kailua. Wine and dine in the backyard garden or on the private deck off your bedroom with a view of the lake and nature preserve. You can watch the moon rise over the hills and enjoy the local sounds of nature. The entire second floor is yours. If I am in residence we will share the kitchen. If I’m away the whole house is yours and some cat care is included. This is not a vacation rental in the conventional sense. This is a family house with a stocked kitchen, bathroom, beach chairs, board games, and DVDs. We make it rental ready by clearing personal items. Our laid back cat (7 yo) and two younger ones (1.5 yo) will be in residence and we are seeking guests who are willing to care for them. Watering the garden every few days is also appreciated. The master bedroom, bathroom and deck are the entire second floor. This affords you maximum privacy. A futon or twin bed can be added for a small child. Depending on your time frame I will be at home or may be off island but will be available to answer questions anytime. I will have a representative to help in an emergency. The quiet, safe cul-de-sac is full of friendly families. On the main road there is a distinguished bike path for an early morning run. Neighbors will be available in case of an emergency. Kailua restaurants include Thai, Hawaiian, Japanese, Vietnamese, local fresh Poke, and a cooling shave ice shop. Ask us for recommendations! With designated parking spots in the driveway and a bus stop across the street you can tour the island from Mauka (mountain) to Makai (ocean). You can drive to Honolulu in 20-30 minute, to the beach in 5 (bike in 15), and Kailua in less than that. If I am away cat care will be necessary. They don’t require much- food/water/litter change and some petting. Watering the garden every other day will be appreciated.
