Our lovely upstairs condo is inviting and comfortable with lots of extra amenities to make you feel right at home & enjoy your vacation. Beach chairs & umbrella, snorkel gear, cooler to name a few. Enjoy your morning coffee/afternoon cocktail w/beautiful views of the ocean from the lanai. All guests receive an up-to-date info guide about the area and island with specially recommended restaurants, hidden beaches, things to do etc. 2-days between guest visits. Consider our fully equipped condo your home away from home. The bedroom is downstairs with a brand new king size bed, ceiling fan and even has it's own turtle. The living room is upstairs & has a large wooden vaulted ceiling w/ fan. The queen size sofa bed comfortably sleeps two. This is an upstairs, airy unit with lots of light and beautiful views of the ocean & rocky outcrop to watch the waves. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to create easy & tasty meals (with recipe books on grilling & cocktails - blender included of course), and coffee grinder & maker (to enjoy your delicious Kona coffee). The dining room seats four and the lanai has a table with four chairs as well as two chaise lounges. All have views of the ocean. We also have games and a DVD player with a video library for your viewing enjoyment. I prefer to interact via e-mail and usually respond w/in 24 hours. Of course in a time-sensitive situation phone calls are fine. Colony One/Sea Mountain is a unique place. The setting & location are wonderful & unusual. Definite Hawaiian country feel. The complex is well maintained & small enough to stay friendly. People say hello to each other as they walk past & lots of conversations are started while lounging in the pool/hot tub area. Since buying our unit over 13 years ago, we have spent a lot of time fixing it up & making it as comfortable as possible for our guests. There is a great bakery, coffee mill (that has tours & free samples), and farmers market all within a a 10-minute drive. Lots to explore in this lesser known part of the island and our place is a great starting point for your adventures. We invite you to be our guest at #24. You will need to rent a car if you choose to stay here. We are about 60 minutes from Hilo airport & 95 minutes from Kona airport. This area is considered remote. There are some things to know before you go that will make your trip that much easier. Once booked, I send a document of all that important info. It also has places/activities/restaurants etc that we have grown to know & love. As an ex-tour guide, I take a lot of time making sure this is up-to-date so you don't miss out on any of the many incredible things the Big Island has to offer.
