Island 3/1 Home Kea'au Hawaii 25 min to Hilo
We call this “Mokupuni Hale” meaning “Island House”. This whole house, 3 bedroom w/ loft on private 1 acre w/ pineapples, orchids, papayas, bananas, and other trees on the Big Island just 20 min. south of Hilo, close to fun. Comfortably sleep 4 to 5 in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Cool at night & warm during the day. Nearby Volcano Nat. Park w/ other close activities & adventures like the free zoo, free snorkel with turtles, hike to Shipman Beach & Mauna Loa Mac. Nut factory. Just south of Hilo on a private acre in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Young trees- strawberry guava, bananas, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, avocado, breadfruit, dragon fruit, guavas, pineapple and passion fruit. Comes with a king-size, one queen, two twin beds, and a sofa hide-a-bed. Comfortably sleeps 4 to 5 people with ceiling fans throughout. We have a Masu tub and BBQ. Our location is close to adventure. Our location is best for those family and friends on a budget wishing to avoid the more expensive Kona side. Most activities in the Hilo side are free for all to enjoy like the Old Hawaii we still miss. Free Zoo and Mauna Loa Mac Factory only ten min. away. 25 min west to Volcano; 25 min. south for newly created black-sand beach from recent lava flow. 20 min. to Hilo w/ east beaches Carl Smith, Richardson's Beach (Great snorkeling beach parks, & Rainbow Falls; 10 more minutes farther north to Akaka waterfall or botanical garden-the most diverse in Pacific. 30 minutes to Mauna Kea for star gazing. Further south-west past the Volcano you will find the black sand beach of Punulu’u, and then on to the most southern point of the U.S. all areas-entire house and one acre Ingrid our friend is close by for co-hosting if any local assistance is needed and we are most always available by cell phone or instant messaging through the app if needed. It is all about the car on the Big Island as the Big Island is big. The Big Island is the size of the State of Connecticut and that makes everything not centrally located. If you are close to one thing to visit you will not be close to the other thing. We love Hawaiian Paradise Park because it is quiet and peaceful with most all of the home’s on one acre parcels. If you don’t drive then you will be stuck in one place and miss out on the adventure of the Big Island has to offer. As the house is gated you can securely park inside for safety and ease of use. Traffic is mellow and if you use a helmet motorbikes are fun too . Akaka falls is great for hiking (40 min) Rainbow Falls is very accessible (30min) Hilo Farmers Market (25 minutes) Pahoa Sunday Market (5 minutes) Shipman Beach( ten min to hike start) Fissure 8 in Leilani ( 20 min to view) Carl Smith Beach Park (35 min) Isaac Hale New Bl. Sands Beach(25 min) Pane’wa Zoo -free admit (15 min) Mauna Loa Mac Factory (15 min) Uncle Roberts Weds Night Music and Market (20 to 25 min) Mauna Kea Night Observatory (35 min)
