Newly renovated stylish, clean and comfortable one bedroom apartment on ground level. Features travertine tile, bamboo cabinets, acacia and glass counter tops, outdoor dining area, a new Queen size bed and a sofabed. Located in North Holualoa, just south of Hula Daddy Coffee, at a perfect 1400 foot elevation. It's ideal for a comfortable relaxing and convenient stay between beach and site seeing explorations. 10 minutes from the KOA airport and 10 mins from the towns of Kailua-Kona and Holualoa. Enjoy a cozy space decorated with a surfers sense of design. A lovely Balinese bench, outdoor dining area and a vintage Ole longboard greet and guide you into your 1 bedroom apartment. The layout is open with a living room and entertainment center to the left that includes a fold down full size sofa bed, Surfers Journal collection, Smart and Apple TV with a separate WiFi modem and router. The kitchen is fully functional with a double sink, service for four, lots of counter space, gas range, appliances such as a blender, pod coffeemaker, French press, toaster, mini crockpot and a rice cooker. The tap water is delicious and fine to drink unfiltered. The fridge is mid sized and clean. A large door opens to the private master bedroom with a double closet, shelves, brand new comfy queen bed and on suite bathroom with a tub/shower. Windows throughout provide fresh air and natural lighting. Two parking stalls directly in front of unit, free wireless internet, smart Apple tv, large fenced backyard with play structure. We are happy to share good tips on what to do while visiting the Big Island. Our home is a triplex and consists of two separate ground floor units that are vacation rentals and a large family home on the second floor. Our family of six lives on site in the 4 bedroom top floor unit and we can be contacted in person or via airbnb/text messaging. As a guest you can expect total privacy within your unit. There is an outside bench that opens to the driveway and a breezeway between the two vacation rentals. Guests casually meet and greet each other in passing or while enjoying the backyard. Highly desirable rural location, perfect elevation (1400 feet) making for a comfortable cool nights sleep yet only 10 minute drive to kailua-Kona town, Holualoa town and the KOA airport. Our lot is 1/2 acre and shares a driveway with our families 2 acre property just below. There are 4 more Airbnb's in the second house, listed as "Hale I'o" and "Hale Iki" by Yaya. We also share a large event space that has weekly events and is available for retreat workshops and other special events, including a Full Moon Cacao Ceremony with Sound. There are farm fresh eggs laid daily by our chickens available for $1 each in the event space. Our place is quiet at night and lively during the day when the kids are home. If you are looking for a secluded Zen retreat, this is not it. We definitely recommend a car on the Big Island, public transportation is almost non existent here. Family friendly spot, not a party house! A small friendly dog and a cat live on the property, they are not allowed in the units. Just so you know, the GET Tax (4.0% our local Sales tax) and the TAT Tax (9.25% Transient Accomadation Tax) were included in the listing price.
