Relax and have your coffee or cocktail on the private screened-in breezy lanai or by the condominium pool. The pool and pool area have been beautifully upgraded. You are pedestrian close to many of Kona’s best restaurants and nightlife. Please note you are in the tropics. While we strive to keep our unit bug free with minimal use of pesticides, they are a way of life in Hawaii. Madagascar gecko’s (green) and the smaller Hawaiian gecko’s (brown) roam free and do help by eating the little bugs. The studio condo is private and all yours to enjoy. Keys are accessed via code to the door lockbox. The common pool area has tables, chairs, and gas BBQ’s for guest use. The coin laundry is on site beneath the unit. A free parking spot in front of the condo is included. A locked mailbox can be arranged for extended stays. No smoking allowed in the units. There is a designated outdoor smoking area near the front carport. A key is provided for trash and pool gate access. The property has many full-time residents because they love it here! Condominium property manager on site is Brian Kuster. My daughter Deidre is my manager when I’m not around. She lives nearby in Kainaliu. I’m usually in Pahoa where I help out with 3 grandkids. We can be reached by cell phone, text, or email. Information is in our condo binder. Kalanikai condos are known for their beautiful garden setting in the heart of Kona. We are now 100% solar for our electricity needs. There are some friendly chickens that wander the lush grounds and help keep the bugs down. Mouser is the resident cat who hangs around the pool area. There is a plethora of shopping and restaurant choices within walking distance. A community recreation area with a botanical garden walking path and a long stretch of sandy beaches is close by along Old Airport Road. We have free parking on site at spot #43 right in front of the unit. There are several public parking lots throughout Kona village or some free street parking when exploring other areas. The National Park, Historical sites, and some state parks charge a fee for entrance. You can explore the island using the Hele On (Let’s Go) free bus. They also have service to Hilo M-Sat. Check their website for schedules. The condo is located 8 miles south of Kona airport. Restaurants, sandy beach, shopping malls and historic Kailua-Kona village are all within a short walking distance. Inexpensive public transportation includes the Hele-On bus and Kona Trolley. Roberts Hawaii Express Shuttle offers service from the airport. No need to rent a car for short stays but the island is big and diverse and a rental car is recommended for the many amazing excursions that await you.
