Magical Woodland Retreat

Come and stay in my women-centred literary hideaway, be inspired by the magical woodlands & nearby views, learn something new, rest or have a digital detox. I'm Michelle, an author of 24 books, who has lots of creative hobbies & the cutest dog. We live in a gorgeous cottage where the only sounds are the birds & the winds in the trees. I am currently doing an MA in Creative Practice & am keen to host women in a lovely, spacious & light room filled with books & (friendly) dragons! The space There is a shared bathroom with a showerhead for use over the bath (no standing shower) and a separate loo. A bright airy kitchen with a dining table you can eat or work at. The lounge is cosy with a logfire and there is a small TV with a stack of DVDs. There are some musical instuments around, including a temple drum, you are welcome to play! Guest access All of the house is available for guests to use, except for the upstairs mezzanine. Other things to note Bring good walking shoes if you want to explore the area and see King Arthur's Cave, the view of the Wye from above, or if you want to go down to the river and dip a toe in! There are pubs within walking distance, but I don't recommend drinking too much, it's a steep walk back up! You can also see the iconic red Sex Education house across the river. In the Spring, the woods come alive with bluebells and wild garlic, which makes an excellent pesto!
