Our island is located in Sans Souci in Georgian Bay - in the heart of the Massassauga Provincial Park. With multiple separate buildings - Black Bass Island is ideal for 2-3 families who want to vacation together but have their own space. This region has some of the best freshwater boating in the world and is unmatched for its beauty and serenity. A kayaker’s and fisherman’s dream – enjoy limitless opportunities to explore and create forever memories. Enjoy free WiFi and a sandy beach. The space The island is accessible by water only. The island is a 15-20 minute boat ride from Woods Bay through calm and protected waters. There are water taxi services available from Woods Bay Marina as well as Moon river marina if you do not have your own boat. We will gladly assist in arranging the taxi service if required. Please see 'other things to note' section below for water taxi pricing. Guest access Guests have full access to the island and buildings, use of water toys (paddleboards, kayaks, canoe, tubes, floating mat, inflatables, etc). There is also a 14' aluminum boat available (please inquire). The property consists of a Main Cottage with a fully equipped kitchen, large dining table, spacious living room, half bath, Master bedroom with full ensuite and walkout to deck overlooking the water. Very cozy for a romantic getaway. Enjoy the privacy of the island all to yourself or bring family and friends! There is a Guest Cottage with screened in porch, kitchenette and dining space plus six beds (Bedroom #2). There is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath bunkie with deck (Bedroom #3 and #4). There is a bath house with full laundry and shower. There is also a small Bunkie and dry boat house that can accommodate additional guests if required. All buildings and docking areas are connected by a series of boardwalks. This makes the island quite accessible and easy to walk around. Other things to note We require guests to please sign a rental agreement prior to booking (delivered via email) for insurance purposes. We also collect a $750 refundable damage deposit. The water taxi accommodates 5-6 people and gear (luggage, food, etc.) . The marina charges per hour, with a minimum 1/2 hour charge - which starts on loading and finishes when the taxi returns to the marina. Bookings are subject to HST - 13% HST is included in the rental price.
