We are actually about 5 minutes north of Kealakekua (in Honalo), making travel to Kona just a little bit faster than it would be from Kealakekua itself. Walk through our coffee farm, watch the spectacular Kona sunset over the ocean from the privacy of your outdoor lanai. A steep path with uneven stones leads to the Ohana. Not suited for people with limited mobility and walking difficulties. Beth is the owner and Corrina is the on-island manager. Beth will be your initial contact and Corrina will assist with any of your needs while on the island. She is just a phone call, text or email away. Rainbow Ohana is nestled in an authentic Hawaiian area consisting of Kona coffee farms of various sizes. Our guest house is situated just 1/2 mile makai (ocean-side) of the main road that circles the island, yet the property feels very private, secluded, and romantic. You will definitely want to have a car to tour the island. Rainbow Ohana is located 15 minutes south of Kailua-Kona town and just 5 minutes north of Kealakekua. The airport is 20 minutes north of Kailua town. Our farm has a number of fruit trees: banana, avocado, papaya, lime, and macadamia nut trees dot the property alongside the coffee trees. Guests are welcome to pick any ripe fruit that happens to be in season on the property. Our kitchen and dining areas are enclosed with large screened windows, open to the ocean breezes and the scent of night-blooming jasmine, white ginger, and other tropical floral delicacies.
