The resort is right in the middle of the Keauhou Hawai’ian Heritage Corridor, surrounded by authentic Hawaiian history and scenery. Yes we have upgraded ultra wifi and great cell coverage! Welcome to Kona, traditional birthplace of Hawai'ian Ali'i! Situated directly on the ocean side of world famous Ali'i Drive, There is no better location. Amazing garden views just a short walk across the grounds from the black sand and coral beach and the newly renovated pool. A second story unit, there is great privacy from the oversized lanai that overlooks the tropical gardens. Parking space is right by the front door for easy access to your unit. If your party is too large for a single unit, we have two other nearby units in the complex as well! Full kitchen with granite counters and fully stocked with everything you need for those gourmet meals made with the local ingredients you picked up at the weekly farmers market, just a block away. The dishwasher makes cleanup easy so you can get out and enjoy! Full bath In each bedrooom. Laundry is in the unit. Ceiling fans throughout the interior, and on the lanai as well. Nearly all the windows open wide to allow the cooling trade winds to flow through. Wireless internet, digital cable and a big screen LED TV keep you connected. Tastefully decorated interior is comfortable with plenty of space to relax. The Master bedroom with a comfy queen bed, overlooks the courtyard and gardens. The second bedroom has two xl twin beds and looks at the grand palms at the front. The twins can be made into a king bed if that works better for your situation. Beautiful palm trees and gardens in the wide open back courtyard shade the back of the unit, keeping the trade winds nice and cool. The relaxing lanai overlooks the large lawn and mature tropical gardens. You can hear the surf pounding the cliffs just beyond. This makes the lanai my favorite place to drink Kona coffee in the morning, watching the native birds as they navigate the canopy. In the evening it is an amazing place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the evening, if you don't feel like walking across the property to the lava cliffs or the beach for the sunset. Bar-b-ques are fueled are placed throughout the complex with picnic areas for your use. The entire unit, including the lanai is non-smoking. On site tennis and pickleball courts are free for use, just sign up. Oceanfront golf at the Kona Country Club is open the the public, and is adjacent to the complex to the south. I hear the clubhouse is fantastic! One of the best snorkeling beaches on the island is just a 5 minute walk up Ali'i Drive at Kahalu’u Beach Park. It's also a great place to learn to surf. There are equipment rentals at the north end of the beach, across Ali'i Drive at Kahalu’u Surf n Sea. We are adjacent to Keauhou Bay, which is world famous for it's Manta Ray population. They come out nearly every evening. There are dive and snorkeling excursions where you can experience the thrill of seeing them in their natural habitat. The Shops at Keauhou Shopping Center are just a block away, and have everything you might need with a grocery, drug store, restaurants, pubs and more! They host the Kamahameha School for Hula and other performances regularly. This is also where the Saturday Farmers Market is held. Visit Kilauea volcano, Kona and Kau coffee farms, macadamia nut farms, wineries, breweries, local farmers markets, national historic parks, great snorkeling beaches, black sand beaches, green sand beaches, white sand beaches, go surfing, visit thermal pools, waterfalls, botanical gardens, explore lava tubes, go whale watching, deep sea fishing, take a helicopter tour, a submarine tour, play a round of golf surrounded by the surf, go to an amazing luau, or any number of other nearby adventures. You can even rent a Harley in Kailua-Kona at Big Island Harley Davison. It's all right here... The entire neighborhood is filled with the Spirit of Aloha... This is the real Hawai'i everyone is looking for. The entire 16 acre site is at your disposal, from the ocean cliff walk to the secluded beach and the gardens, pool and free tennis and volleyball courts and bar-b ques. Due to cleaning scheduling requirements, we are sorry but late check outs are generally not available. Non smoking unit, including the lanai. Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club is a unique resort. It is in a historical area, the birthplace of King Kamehamea II. There are ancient temple ruins right in the middle of the property, and many very close by, including several large stone temple platforms on the adjacent beach that go right out into the water and are surrounded by ancient Hawaiian fish ponds. Petroglyphs are scattered around the area to find. Apart from the amazing history, the complex has amazing mature plantings that will take your breath away. The complex is meticulously maintained. The nearly private beach and the cliff walk with the crashing surf are amazing. The new pool is first rate and quite large. The property is so close to everything, yet you have ample space with 15 acres to explore and enjoy. The quiet demeanor of the complex is enchanting. So whether you want to relax by the pool, watch the surf crash against the black lava cliffs , hang at the beach or sit on the lanai under the monkey pod trees with a glass of wine, this is a great place to do it all. A 5 minute walk to one of the best beaches on the island, great shopping, or a short trolley ride to town. These are all great reasons to stay here. It's my favorite place on the my favorite island... Busses and the Kona Trolley run regular schedules up and down Ali'i Drive. Please note: Smoking in the unit or on the lanai is not allowed and may result in damage fees being assessed.
