This is for 2 people max who are comfortable in close quarters as this is a tiny apartment. An ocean view of the Honaunau coastline, located at the end of the building with a shared lanai (veranda) for dining or leisure. Our farm is a place to relax, explore native Hawaiian flora and fauna, and enjoy the real Hawaii. We welcome guests who have a respect and appreciation for our tranquil environment. That being said there are regular farm noises and work being done. The managers also live on the property in close proximity and have a baby. Please know although this is a separate room you will be next to another room. The walls are thin, and the rooms are mostly open air. If you are looking for a hotel type accommodation this is not for you. Please view our three other featured private rooms: Plumeria Room with ocean view: Cozy Jacaranda Room: and Pineapple Room. The adjacent Pineapple Room can be rented to make the Mango Suite a 2-bedroom option. The small couch in the suite is not suitable for sleeping. We offer fresh fruit samples when available or in season from our many fruit trees including citrus, mango, banana, star fruit, avocado, and more. FREE Parking and Internet Wi-Fi. Also, enjoy a walk around our 10-acre farm. The Managers reside on property and will gladly help with any questions, suggestions, ideas, or directions to local attractions. They will always be considerate of your privacy and space during your stay. Centrally located near many attractions including Kealakekua Bay/Captain James Cook Monument, National Historical Park Pu'uhonua O Honaunau (Place of Refuge), Two Step, St Benedict Roman Catholic Church aka "Painted Church", Paleaku Peace Sanctuary/Botanical Gardens, and Ho'okena Beach Park; 1 hour drive to/from Kailua-Kona. There are many bays and beaches in which to swim and snorkel. During whale season you can enjoy watching their behavior from many of the close local areas as well. You can fill your days with many wonderful sites including Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea Observatory; most all of this island can be reached within a couple of hours from the farm. We strongly recommend a car rental as most attractions are not within comfortable walking distance. As of May 1, 2015, we no longer have a car rental available. We will update this posting should that option change in the future. It is a TROPICAL CLIMATE and highly recommended to bring INSECT REPELLENT for your comfort, and SUN PROTECTION to minimize exposure. PHONE AND COMPUTER USE LIMITED TO ROOM.
