STR License Number: STR22-5450 Max Occupancy: 4 Parking Info: 2 spaces are available Guest access Once you are on the driveway the cottage is the first structure on the left. Guests have access to the entire cottage and be sure to follow the path off the right side of the house for a short walk to the river where you will find chairs for relaxing at rivers edge. Other things to note Winter wonderland. Please be advised traveling to the Lake Tahoe/Truckee area can be hazardous during winter storm events with slick or snowy roads, heavy traffic, potential road closures and decreased visibility. Be prepared. Travel with some snacks, water and warm clothing; and if you don't drive an all-wheel drive/four wheel drive with good snow tires consider carrying tire snow chains as at times they may be required by the California Highway Patrol/Caltrans on area roads especially on I-80 over Donner Summit. We have a plow service that is contracted to plow our driveway once per 24 hour period during snow storms, however we have no control of the timing of his arrival. During severe winter weather events our driveway as well as many roads in the area can experience substantial snow buildup that may make travel difficult. We will have the walkway and entry shoveled prior to your arrival and there will be a shovel available during your stay. Be sure to check out the local biking and hiking opportunities. Take the scenic Truckee River Bike Trail south along the river to Tahoe City or the Olympic Valley Bike path to the Village at Palisades for events, dining or shopping (bike rentals are available nearby). Pickleball anyone? There are pickleball courts just an easy walk across River Road. Visit Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake or spend time by the Truckee River. Also, if you've never been, take the aerial tram ride at the Palisades for spectacular views of Olympic Valley and the surrounding mountains.
