Guest access Guests have private and exclusive access to the entire home and property. You will receive a unique access code for the front door, allowing for secure, keyless self-check-in. Instructions are sent 48 hours before your arrival. Other things to note -State-issued photo ID required before check-in (insurance requirement). -Please note that during inclement weather, such as snow or icy conditions, AWD, 4x4 or tire chains are required. For added precaution, we also highly recommend carrying tire chains, even if your vehicle has AWD or 4x4 capabilities -Regular pest control is performed, but because the cabin is surrounded by woods near Shenandoah National Park, you may encounter insects both outdoors and occasionally indoors. The most common are flies, stink bugs, ladybugs, and sometimes wasps. These insects are harmless and more of a nuisance than a threat. For comfort, we recommend keeping doors and windows closed to minimize their presence inside. - Firewood, charcoal not included – please bring your own - Basic condiments (spices, oil) are provided on a pay-it-forward basis - No smoking or parties Please note: The property is located in the mountains. While most roads are paved, the final mile is a gravel road that can be challenging to navigate during winter weather. We strongly recommend a four-wheel-drive vehicle during snowy months. That said, past guests have successfully reached the property in vehicles ranging from a 2023 Corvette to a 2013 Hyundai Genesis.
