Our place is close to world-class Hapuna Beach, epic snorkelling and beautiful restaurants. We are close to Kailua-Kona airport (30min drive) Our place has stunning ocean views and is always sunny. On most days, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and Hualalai Mountains can be seen from the backyard. It is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, perfect for couples and solo adventurers. We welcome people from all backgrounds and offer you a stay you will never forget! We offer guests a private room but also have extra beds in the house. We have two fold out couches, a comfortable punei (Hawaiian-style lounge) and a futon mattress if you need extra beds. Please note that you will need to share a bathroom and shower, however we keep our home clean and tidy. We have unlimited wifi access. Our backyard is a beautiful place to enjoy a sunset and a BBQ is available for use. Kawaihae Village is a unique hidden treasure on the Big Island. It is the perfect location to explore the North Kohala coast and staying with locals is the best way to travel. We offer you a private room with your own private entry/exit sliding door. You will have access to our grassy backyard, perfect for chilling on our lounge chairs and star-gazing at night. We usually work during the day but have semi-flexible schedules and can be around to play tour guide if pre-arranged. Kawaihae Village is a small, quiet neighborhood close to the beach. We have very friendly neighbors and lots of visitor parking. Our neighborhood has a small park which is in walking distance to the house. Our favorite nearby restaurant is The Seafood Bar and it is less than 5 minutes drive down the road! We are about 15 minutes away from Waimea, a town famous for cowboys and Parker Ranch. It has numerous food stores (Foodland, KTA), Starbucks, Boutiques, an amazing park for children, tennis courts, thrift stores and lots of incredible restaurants. We recommend you rent a car. There are numerous rental car companies close to the airport (Kailua-Kona). We have surfboards, boogie boards, masks and snorkels, ocean/pool toys that you are welcome to use during your stay.
