Unit 11 has a very comfortable King size bed, 4 piece bathroom and an equipped kitchen. Has cable tv, with lots of channels. The unit faces south with awesome ocean views across from the golf course. The swimming pool and hot tub is only steps away. 2 clean BBQs at your disposal near the pool area. There is a black sands beach just 12 minute walk from your unit where you will likely see many green sea turtles. Don't get too close, as they are an endangered specie. Colony one is in a quiet undeveloped area on the south end of the Island, so you will need to purchase your food and beverages before you arrive. (suggest either Hilo, or Kona). The closest restaurants are in the town of Volcano (27 miles) or Naalehu (8 miles). If you are looking for nightlife, pick Kona instead as Colony One is a bit isolated. But if you are seeking peace, quiet and a chance to unwind, unit 11 is your destination. Bring a good book and bathing suit. The condo itself is older but has been partly remodelled. It was very clean and fresh. The kitchen is due for an update but it was well stocked with everything you need to cook meals for yourself and everything works fine. It’s a 4min walk to the black sand beach. The surrounding area is a shut down golf course and decrepit tennis courts so there’s not much to do in the immediate area but take full advantage of the pool and black sand beach.
