Waterlock Cottage, Wingham
Waterlock Cottages was built in the 19th century property and backs on to the water meadows. On entering the property there is the dining room on the left, with stripped original wood flooring and cupboards, it has a lovely warm feel and comfortably seats 6 people. From the dining room lies a well-equipped kitchen with large range cooker (5 gas hobs, an electric plate and two ovens), microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen leads into a conservatory with views over the garden and on to the water meadows. There is also a utility room and downstairs wc. On the right of the hallway is a cosy sitting room with a wood burner and two sofas plus television. Up the stairs you will find four bedrooms. The master has a large double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, the second bedroom again has a large double bed with wardrobe. At the rear of the house are two further bedrooms both with single beds. The spacious family bathroom has a bath with shower over. One of the great features of this property is the garden and its views which are perfect for being able to enjoy a glass of something cold in the summer on the terrace, whilst watching the birdlife uninterrupted views of the water meadows. Situated halfway between the bustling city of Canterbury and the ancient cinque port of Sandwich, lies the village of Wingham. The manor of Wingham is recorded in the doomsday book and there are many fine ancient properties lining the high street. The village is well catered for with an award-winning gastro pub, a traditional local pub, an Indian restaurant, renowned bakery plus two shops. If you want a break away with great walks, good access to Canterbury and also to the coast then Waterlock Cottages is for you.
