The space Located on the first mountain range west of the Atlantic, Ginkgo Ridge offers magnificent views, Boxwood gardens, manicured lawns, giant Ginkgo trees and more. Formerly the private estate of a tobacco baron and the site of Civil War skirmish, provides an an organic experience, free of chemicals, rich with clear skies, butterflies, fireflies, berries and a place for solitude. Guest access The Boxwood Overlook guest house has its own space surrounded by giant Boxwoods plus a common area where the views will take your breath away. Other things to note Friendly dog are welcome for a fee upon advance approval by the host. Dogs must be controlled, listen and obey their owners. Dogs can be unleashed but may not chase or intimidate others including wild animals. Owners must pick up after the dogs. There is a $35 per dog. There is a two-night minimum stay.
