The space Our charming cabin sits on 1/2 acre in the quiet forested Shasta Forest Village neighborhood in Shingletown. Embrace the tranquility from our expansive deck, ideal for spending the day or evening. Unwind in the brand new Marquis Spas hot bub and watch your favorite show, movie, or game. Relax on the double hammock and stargaze, or cook up dinner on the large 36" Blackstone Griddle. In the winter, play in the snow, or watch the snow fall from the comfort of the deck, with the ambiance and warmth of an electric stove. This mid-century modern cabin has vintage and modern touches and an open space concept that connects the kitchen, living room, dining area, and game room where you and your guests can enjoy each other’s company no matter where you choose to relax. The cabin has a lot of windows and is surrounded by trees and a privacy fence. At night, you will have plenty of ambiance when the café lights surrounding the property turn on. The living room is just the place to relax after a long day of exploring the beauty of the area. We have a 65” TV and Starlink, so you can curl up on the couch and watch the big game, a movie, or your favorite show (we have YouTube TV, Netflix, Max, Amazon Prime Video, and Peacock). Keep warm during the colder months with the wood burning fireplace. Our game room opens up to the living room and is equipped with a 9' Shuffleboard table, vintage radio, board games, poker cards and poker chips, and puzzles. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom and bathroom are located on the second floor. The bedroom has a king-sized bed with Dream Cloud mattress and a vanity that doubles as a workstation. Right off the master, there is a deck with sitting area. The ensuite bathroom has a shower and Toto bidet. There is also a 43" TV. The second bedroom is on the first floor and has a full-sized bed and 43" TV. There is a full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo just steps away. Location: Shingletown is a cute and sleepy little town with a grocery store, a pizza joint with a bar and beer garden (and summer concerts), ice cream/sandwich shop, and thrift/antique stores. Redding is a 30-minute drive where you have access to a larger city with more options for dining, shopping, and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Our cabin is just off Highway 44 and is only a 2-minute drive to town where there are groceries and food. The cabin is 20 minutes from Mount Lassen National Park and 1 hour to Burney Falls. There is plenty of hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and lakes to explore nearby, including Whiskeytown and Shasta Lake. Should your stay last longer, you will want to bring or shop for additional toiletries, coffee pods, paper towels, and toilet paper. Well trained dogs under 40 pounds will be considered on a case by case basis and for a $75 pet fee. Please send an inquiry if you wish to bring a dog. **We have a firm cancellation policy.
