Cabina Las Palmas, the ideal rustic getaway for a couple, a group of friends or a family up to 6, is a colorful, private and spacious 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom home on the hills of Lagunas de Barú where the mountains meet the sea, overlooking stunning views of mountains, jungle, and a slice of the Pacific Ocean. Many first-time visitors to the area don't realize that beachfront property here is very hot and humid but up here it can be ten degrees cooler with wonderful breezes coming in off the ocean, yet only a 10-minute drive to the popular beaches of Dominical or the serene shores of Guapil and Hatillo. With an ocean view and a large yard filled with colorful plants and flowers, you can lounge all day around the home - eating fruit right from the property (you may have to compete with the monkeys or toucans), or enjoy the beautiful Costa Ballena area and have plenty of tours, activities, beaches and restaurants to fill your days! Colorfully furnished with a tropical vibe, the home has a nicely equipped kitchen and basic conveniences throughout the home provide you with a very comfortable base while exploring all the wonders of the Southern Pacific Zone. The intention of Cabina Las Palmas is to be a place to get away from it all – a haven of reconnection with nature, with oneself and with others – you won’t find TV’s, WiFi, or other trappings of entrapment here, but you might find yourself waking up early to the sounds of howler monkeys, watching the clouds lift upwards from the rainforest. You might find yourself trying to identify which bird is making such beautiful sounds. You might find yourself trekking around the property, surrounded by the flora & fauna of paradise. And as the tropical sun sets behind the mountains and the valley below you is ablaze with color, who knows? You might just find yourself! Bedrooms are furnished with single- to queen-sized beds that will be prepared by our staff with fresh linens, bathrooms are well appointed and furnished with all bath linens, and kids with a sense of adventure will love climbing the ladder to their own loft above! Outside is where the best time is spent, with a spacious deck, outdoor kitchen and plenty of seating with views into the jungle. There is space for 2 or more cars to park, and as with any destination in Costa Rica, 4x4 vehicles are recommended.
