Hale Hina is our freshly remodeled ocean side getaway in the heart of Kailua-Kona. This clean and modern studio is centrally located in town center directly across the street from beautiful Kailua Bay. Stroll along historic Ali’i Drive to the best restaurants and shops Kona has to offer, soak in the spa and bbq poolside, or pack up the cooler and hit the beach. Our sunny studio is the perfect jumping off point for the countless adventures the Island of Hawai’i has to offer! The studio is fully furnished with a modern beach vibe and everything you need for a relaxing stay. We pride ourselves on providing a clean and cheerful space for our guests to enjoy. There is a queen size bed and a comfy couch that folds out into another queen bed. Enjoy pool views while sipping your coffee (or mai tai) on the lanai (balcony). The studio has strong WiFi, a big screen TV with cable, and cold air conditioning. The kitchenette is brand new and includes a fridge, microwave, induction burners, toaster, electric kettle and coffee maker. We also provide two Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler for you to use for comfortable and convenient beach hopping. The studio is located on the second floor with stair only access and is not wheel chair accessible. Take advantage of the pool and spa! There’s also a bbq by the pool our guests can use as well. Hours are posted. Coin operated laundry available on site. The price is $2.50 per wash and $2.50 per dry. Free parking on premise. A parking permit will be issued to you upon check in. Monica is available via phone, text or email. Please reach out with any questions! Hale Hina is located in the very heart of Kailua-Kona, known for its crystal clear water, sunny skies, and breathtaking sunsets. You can’t get more centrally located than this. Walk to restaurants, bars, shops and activities. You can go for a swim, snorkel, stand up paddle board or kayak in Kailua Bay-easiest access is at the Kailua Pier (the Ironman start/finish), a short walk down Alii Drive. Big Island has an array of day trips and adventures to embark on from the peak of Mauna Kea, to the lush valleys of scenic Hamakua coast. Our studio is the perfect jumping off point to plan your Hawaii getaway. Most visitors to the big island rent a car for their stay. This will allow you to adventure the entire island. The booking includes free parking with permit on premise. If you choose to skip the rental car though, you cannot beat this location for its central location for enjoying Kona. Take a cab from the airport. There is a trolley that runs up and down Ali’i Drive you can use to get around town, $2 per person each ride. You can find the schedule and stops here: https://www.konaweb.com/forums/shuttle.shtml Another option for exploring Kona is renting a bike from the bikeshare automated kiosks! Look for the blue bikes right across the street on Alii’i Dr. learn more here: https://hawaiiislandbikeshare.org An important way to care for Hawai’i is to chose reef safe sunscreen. Because of the harmful effects on reefs, in 2018 Hawai’i passed a ban on sunscreens containing oxybenzone and octinoxate – two of the more dangerous ingredients. When choosing a sunscreen we like minerals such as non-nano zinc oxide (or titanium dioxide) in a natural base. AVOID: Oxybenzone • Octinoxate • Octocrylene • Homosalate • Octisalate • Avobenzone • Parabens • Phthalates • Cocamide DEA • Propylene Glycol • Phenoxyethanol • Nano-Particles • BHT • PEGs • Parfum / Fragrance USE: Non-Nano Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide in a natural base. ***Some local brands we use and love are Little Hands Hawaii and Coco Aloha Mahalo for taking the time to care for the ‘aina (land) and moana (ocean) on your travels. The following is what is recyclable on Island: • Aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles & jars, corrugated cardboard, brown paper bags, & small metal cans.
