Accommodates large groups/weddings/Yukon River Quest. Mountain biking Mecca! Timber frame construction, wood fireplace, large kitchen, can accommodate large groups. One very large bedroom two queen beds,couch, table upstairs. One smaller bedroom upstairs with one queen bed. One large bedroom down with king bed and outside deck. One large bedroom down with two single beds. Main bathroom down with clawfoot tub and walk in shower. Upstairs bath with jet tub and shower. Laundry in basement. Full basement ( not part of the rental) Caretaker next door. Wall tent: We have a lovely wall tent on the property which can accommodate a couple if you require an extra bed.The tent has power and running cold water. There is a wood heater, stove top, electric kettle, sink and queen bed. There is an outdoor toilet. If the tent is used we please ask that it is left clean with changed bedding. There is a housecat on the property. Absolutely no smoking in the house or tent. There is a rental suite in the basement ( no access). Laundry can be done in the basement area. Outdoor kitchen/ fire pit deck area, back decks, back yard, coffee bench with mountain and river view! Guests can use the wall tent on the property ( please leave it clean). Hiking trails from the house. The house will only be available when we are away on vacation or business. Please see calendar for availability. We may not be available to receive our guests, however there will be a caretaker nearby and we will be within reach via text or email. Great walking/running trails, northern lights (sept to march)! Quiet country setting, close to Mt. Sima ski area and Mt. Mac Cross country ski area (winter). Near Whitehorse Yukon 10 km. Skagway Alaska is 1.5 hr drive and Haines Alaska is 3 hrs away. Great mountain biking trails nearby for the summer season! Located on the Yukon River! Fishing, canoeing, hiking summer season. Great views of the Yukon River and Mountains from the property. Kluane National Park is 1.5 hr. west. Keni Alaska is a 12 hr. drive. We have an airbnb in Haines Junction (Kluane Green Sprout) if you are visiting Kluane National Park! No convenient public transport. Town is about 10 km. A rental car would be recommended. Groceries and liqueur available in Whitehorse 10 km. there is a bike lane to town. We may have a car available for an extra charge. Wood fireplace (wood will be provided) Please feel free to put on a wood fire in the main fireplace. This will take the chill out of the house on those cool mornings and make the place supper cozy! We also like to have a fire in the evenings! Wood furnace in winter months (instructions will be provided). House cat on the property (Ted or Kitty). please leave the cat in at night. Very long day light hours during the summer months and very short days during the winter months! Yukon can be very cold during months November, December, January, February, and March. It could be as cold as -40c, (its a dry cold) although this is somewhat rare. The house is very cozy in winter! Great back country skiing during February and March about one hour from the house. Summer months are marked with very long warm days, although the summer days can be cool (always bring warm layers to Yukon!) Evenings and mornings are cool.
