Relax in our beautiful, quiet, large house above Ratzeburg and enjoy the stylish rooms, the beautiful garden and the walking distance to the Ratzeburg lakes and forests. Take trips to historic Lübeck, Hamburg and the nearby Baltic Sea. Come for hiking, biking, running, swimming, sailing, rowing, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, wingfoiling, kayaking/canoeing. Our varied lake and natural landscape has something to offer for everyone! The space Our beautiful, light-flooded house is situated in a quiet street in the island town of Ratzeburg. The house is situated quite high on St. Georgsberg. From the many windows of the upper floor you have a wide view over the neighborhood, the Küchensee and the hilly landscape of the Lauenburgische Seen Nature Park behind it. The house is full of sun! In the morning, the view from the window often offers breathtaking sunrises. The location on the southern slope brings light and warmth all day long and in the evening the sunset clouds illuminate the west side of the garden. Before we lived in the house "Sonnelicht – Idylle am Ratezburger See" for six years, we lived in a Berlin apartment on the first floor without a balcony and initially did not want to believe how much light, sky, warmth and soothing tranquility the house offers! It is a real place of well-being! We completely renovated the house in 2016 and modernized it according to our ideas. Our spacious kitchen and our beautiful, modern bathroom have dreamlike, handmade Portuguese floor tiles with underfloor heating. Feels great! This makes the house very cozy and attractive even in winter! The remaining floors are equipped with a beautiful, soft oak wood floor. The open-plan kitchen is very special thanks to the Metro tiles and the large gas stove. From the eat-in kitchen you have direct access to the terrace and garden – a wonderful place to have breakfast, barbecue, relax or play! The living room on the ground floor is large and bright. It is divided into two halves: a cozy reading and working corner and a TV or bedroom (with sofa bed from Boconcept). The two bedrooms upstairs are spacious and cozy. We exposed the wooden roof beams so that the rooms have high ceilings. In addition to the bedrooms, there is a guest toilet upstairs. In the green garden full of flowers, blossoms, bees and bumblebees you have absolute peace. It is wonderful to relax in the hammock or garden chair or to start the grill. The garden leads around the house; it is about 400 m² and delimited by bamboo, privet and a fence made of natural larch. In front of the house you can enjoy the aperitif in the evening at sunset. Children can try the horizontal bar. A cozy, stylish whole house with a large garden for you alone. Guest access You will be able to access all areas of the house. House Sonnenlicht is exclusively available to you during your vacation time. You have access to the ground floor, upper floor, laundry room and garden! We have only furnished two basement rooms and a small room on the upper floor as storage for additional beds, etc. Ground floor: entrance hall, large kitchen with dining area (direct access to the terrace and garden), large bath and shower room with toilet and bidet, spacious living room with sofa bed double bed (Boconcept), reading corner and workplace for the home office, dining/storage room, stairs to the laundry room with washing machine and dryer. 1st floor: 1 bedroom with a large double bed, 1 bedroom with a double bed and a single bed with additional bed drawer for another sleeping space, guest toilet with bidet. Garden: wooden terrace with garden furniture, garden around the house, hammock, deck chairs, barbecue Pets are only allowed on request! Other things to note Pets allowed by arrangement!
